OT - Show me the money!!!
OMG - I am so sick of folk who get riled up at this type ish!!!!!
First - overdraft is a privilege - one you can have your bank either turn off - or find a bank that will allow the option. Then when yo azz is in the line at Walmart buying deodorant and ketchup and get declined - shut the **** up and leave the store - don't get ignant.....
Second - credit is a BUSINESS, not your god given right!!!! The credit card company is extending the credit line to you - AT THEIR TERMS..... don't want to pay - close the account and pay cash for everything...... and when you go cash only - please refer back to the first point.......
any other questions?????

Oh I've stopped getting ignant in Walmart. They like to lock Ninjas up for dat **** I'd rather walk down aisle #5 and pass some protein-enriched gas instead.

You make a valid point here. Now where can I get this cash that you speak of? It sounds interesting.
any other questions?????
Yes. Just a few:
1. If a train left the station in Chicago at 1pm headed for New York and a train left New York headed for Chicago at 10am, what color is the conductor?
2. How come Winnie the Pooh never wears pants?
3. What would Jesus do?
4. Who in the heyll left the gate open?

Hey Aye,
This thread struck a cord with me. Check this out. Okay I have an auxiliary account that I have linked to my paypal account. I use Paypal for all my online transactions...trying to prevent any scammers from accessing my main account with the real dough. I usually do not keep any money in the 2nd account...as I immediately transfer any cash receipts (if I sell something on ebay etc...) into my main. I only put money there when I plan to make a purchase. So to make a long story short...I get a overdraft from the bank...and I am like what the "F" is going on. I had transferred money into this account the same day that a unforeseen 2 CENT (yes....0.02) paypal authorization came through. So I call paypal and they are like...oh that was just an authorization that we put through when you ordered a new debit card...we need to make sure...the account is still active...so its not even a "real" charge! The bank does not care and they want to charge me $35 for the overdraft because they have to take the debit into consideration before the credit or pending transfer. I call the manager up and ask him WTF! He is being a real pric* and says that the overdraft will stay. I am like okay thats cool...whats your name? I will be over there in about 15 minutes to discuss this with you in person...and I need to warn you that I am not very happy with this decision. (basically giving him a heads up that I am about to come over there and take $35 or more worth of frustration out on his arse!!!
Lo and behold when I get there....he has the credit memo all prepared and says that they have decided to rescind the overdraft.... Yeah right...uh huh....you already know what was about to happen. They did the math before I even got there....being financial people and all.
Manager's salary about $25-35 an hour X my 1/2 hour of ranting - $20
Potential Customers that decide to leave as they witness my complaint - $200 or more in annual interest
Administrative Assistants time $12-15 an hour X .5 hour for printing out all my last year's statements -$ 7.50
and if I felt really ignant.....Teller time $10 an hour as they count my big arse jug of change cause I don't trust your coin machine NOW after what you are trying to pull! x 1 hour -$10
The look on his face as I grabbed my purse and told him...I'll take the credit but "you all need to revamp your NEW online system cause it has serious programmatic and security issues" PRICELESS!!!
Still was mad though...made me waste my gas and all.....see this is why my hair is falling out...dayum fool trying to rip people off. It ain't right!
Breathe, Breathe......

I think the non-use fee is stupid too. I charge just enough on my credit card to keep it active and to avoid the fee. I always pay it off at the end of the month.
BUT now the banks want to start charging an annual fee for a previously free credit card because you pay your bills on time.

Closing a long-standing account is not always a viable option, especially if you care about keeping your FICO intact.

Credit is a business. Built on margins - not on the interest rate charges you MAY or MAY NOT pay depending on if you pay on time. The profit of credit is in the fees - and the fees ALONE. If you cut one avenue off to make them, they have to find another way - the industry can't support itself based solely off of interest payments. So - want lower late fees? Prepare to pay an annual fee. Want no more overdraft? Prepare to pay a non usage fee.
If you want your FICO to stay clean so that you can use your credit privilege, be prepared to pay for it. FICO and credit are not your right - it's a business you decided to be a consumer of. you can get off the bandwagon at any point a time - and pay cash for everything. It's your choice, not your right. It's an option, not a requirement.

it's got not a DAMN thing to do with my political views - so you can kiss my azz on that.
what it is about is PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. Folk have gotten into the mindset that credit is their God given right - it's NOT. Just like you go buy a product and don't like it, you stop patronizing that place - do the same with credit!!!! People DO buy homes WITH CASH.... cars WITH CASH...... other big ticket items WITH CASH........
if YOU don't have your money together to be able to pay cash - then you are at the MERCY of whomever will GRANT you credit - you're basically begging - so don't get picky and *****y about the terms or price!!!! Remember - you have the RIGHT to just PAY CASH!!!!!!
So YOU can go on with YOUR bullshiot about it being a 'Republican propaganda' thing - so I guess you 'Democrats' believe in the credit industry being middle class welfare? It should be given and regulated as a public need instead of a for profit business??
