OT - Show me the money!!!

I understand that a bank is a for-profit entity.   So am I.    I am going to act in my best financial interests whether it benefits the bank or not.  I don't care if they don't make money from me - I want the money and I'll gripe about anything that tips the scale against me.

Actually, I do most of my business with the credit union because I get much better rates there.  I'm sure the bank hates me.  I've been using them for my convenience.  I direct deposit my check there, move most of it to the credit union for saving and then, whenever I use my credit card, I pay it off early.  Truthfully, the only reason I still have those accounts is because they're old.

LOL - if you pay on time or ahead of the interest, yes - they HATE YOU!!!!  LMAOOOOO

Just like gym memberships - they don't want you to show up and work out!  They just want you to let that payment go thru your account every month...... LMAO!!!!

Then hold onto to your protein shake there, Homie, cause this next this will trip you out!  Banks are are also going to start charging a fee to you folks who don't carry a month balance at all as well.  For real.  It was announced on the Today show yesterday.

FIrst of all, this is the problem with Black America as I see it.  I am actually an engineer/financial analyst and I teach classes on taxes and credit responsibility.  The problem with people is that we are not 'taught' how to be fiscally responsible.  At any rate you either pay now, or pay later.  You can take the time to educate yourself as a young adult..or suffer from poor FICO scores and never-ending bill collectors all through your adult life.

It is basic math..if you put $30 in your checking account, you have $30 to spend...not $31.00.  OR should I say you have $30 minus any maintenance fees or recurring drafts that you have set up!  So, for some it may seem outrageous that banks charge high fees, but again, it is a BUSINESS..they aren't they for the good of mankind, they are there to MAKE MONEY.  Sad to say, they make it off of the ignorance and irresponsibility of GROWN FOLKS.  IF people would handle their business, they wouldn't have to worry about bounced checks, overdraft fees, etc.   FICO counts...thats just the way it is.  Our society is built upon it and believe it or not, your creditworthiness and history has a LOT to say about your character and ability to pay debts.  Would you loan a ninja $1,000 if you knew he wasn't going to pay it back?  Think of overdraft fees like interest....banks ain't gonna give you something for nothing.  It is a service that they provide..its your choice to use it or not.  But I DO NOT like when people want to blame their financial irresponsibility or lack of fiscal knowledge on 'the man' or banks, credit card companies, etc.  If people would stop going around buying things that they didn't need and not paying their bills, some of these things wouldn't happen.  You have to PLAN.  I live by a code: I don't want my ends to MEET ..cuz if they do I am just getting by.  I want my ends to REACH AROUND AND HUG EACH OTHER, that way I am doing just fine.  

It is time for people to stop complaining and get fiscally educated.  Learn how to invest in real estate, increase your FICO score, increase your cash flow and available monies at hand through tax preparation, etc.  When you know better, you do better.  Bill collectors?  No one should know what those are!  I think it should be mandatory ( and I am pushing for this with a nonprofit) that all children from middle school up until high school have to pass a fiscal responsibility course - sort of like how they have to take the drug exam to get their license, etc.  There are grown people who don't know how to balance a checkbook and have no concept of money and how to use it PROPERLY.  So don't blame it on THE BANKS....blame it on YOU!!!  Get it together! Credit is a BUSINESS..look it up.  Don't want to play by the rules? Fine! Then dont get mad when you can't get approved for a home loan or when your credit card limit gets lowered due to these 'tough economic times', or when you need to ask your cousin, aunt, uncle, or whomever to let you 'hold a lil til payday and I promise I'll get you back next week'.  Work smarter, not harder. 

And as a side note...a ninja that is broke, has bill collectors callin, and a LOW credit score is the most NON-SEXIEST thing ..EVER...ask any woman and she will co-sign on that one!

I know having a low FICO score is not sexy at all.  Got it.   I was just venting at the time.  Just a vent.   I'm so over it now. 




Believe me I will nevvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvah do that **** again.  Money talk makes you BAF ladies lose control --- Sheesh!
