Hey BAF....

Hubby and I booked a cruise...Carnival Pride out of Baltimore...Anyway I am having a hard time decideing if we should leave the kids home or take them????/  They have kids camps on board and babysitting services....

Fr those of you that have cruised in the past have you taking your kids and what was the atmosphere like for them.  Our kids are used to traveling and do well when we do.  I guess I feel a lil guilty not taking them and leaving them with my mom that's a whole other issue...

 Help....

Rosie ODonnel cruises have a million kids on them,  NOT FUN.   Oh wait, it's a gay cruise,  never mind.

To me, kids mess up cruises unless it is a family cruise.

Hey there Candace,
My husband and I took our kids when we took a cruise 4 years ago, the kids were 12 and 13.  They enjoyed themselves and met alot of other kids.  However we went on a cruise this July and they decided they didnt want to hang out with us maybe because the were 16 and 17 now.  We are planning to cruise summere of 2010 and they will join us.
I think it depends on the age of the kids and when you are traveling.  We traveled in the summer months so there were alot of kids aboard.  Hope this helps.

I've never been on a cruise (I'm a punk) but early this year my daughter went on a cruise with her God parents and she loved it.  I had to ask if she really went with them because she was barely in any of the pics, she wanted to go to kids club everyday.

Although I've never been the only problem I foresee is if you want to partake in the ships night life, but I've been told that they also have babysitting.

BTW she's 7.

Night life was easy but the kids were nine or older.  They had a cerfew to be back in the state room.  We made sure they got in on time and then stayed out as long as we wanted.

At night we were able to do the adult only venues with no problem.  Of course these were kids we could trust alone for a few hours.  Even if we could not, kids programs run late enough to catch the major evening shows.

When we took the kids we left out of Long Beach,CA to the Mexican Rivera.  In July we left out of Miami,Florida and went to the Bahamas....by the way the Bahamas is so beautiful  we would love to go again.

Your kids will have a blast..enjoy.
