A good way to avoid this situation is to sign your tickets.  If they are winners, great; if not , no loss.

your absolutely right every time I buy my tickets I sign on both lines if they show in the back(depends on large ticket is with Numbers).  So if I lose it you know the ticket people gonna ask about the scratch off in back and I wirte my name big.
