Levitical laws says that a woman is considered unclean at this time and should not be touched (literally) in a every way...for real. But that is a levitical law.
New testament talks about marriage and one cannot defy the other other than the time of separation ( meaning mensruation)

To me, it's just nasty! I'm not sure this is true or not, but I have always heard that it leads to greater risk of infection. There are so many others ways to pleasure your partner during that time so bother with all the mess.
