I was checking out recliners this past weekend. I need one to replace one that's on its last legs. I happened upon this WONDERFUL massage chair! Sat down in it for a little test spin........and OMG!!! I was in heaven. This is exactly what I need after work. Hell....I might fire by BF...lol. This thing does everything except prepare the candle light dinner. I was so relaxed. It massages from the feet all the way up. I often get a massage with my pedicure but its never enough. I really like the settings on this one. It costs a little over $1200 on sale. I was looking online and it even looks like the lower end of the line. It seems it would be money well spent...considering my level of stress on some days.

Does anyone have a massage chair in your home? Do you think it was a worthwhile purchase?

On a similar note..do you have a splurge purchase in mind for yourself? We all need to pamper ourselves at every opportunity.

I wouldn't mind adding an in ground pool with a screen room surrounding it. Now that's a hell of a splurge. Enjoy that chair.

Gurl...why you have to mention swimming pool. As my grandma would say, I was "sweating like a nicca on Election Day" when I went out for lunch today. I sure could take the Nestea Plunge right now. Your splurge is a lovely vision though. Thanks for replying.

A splurge? yes - here's mine that I will be buying for my x-mas gift to myself:

7 carat center stone, 2.5 carat half moons on either side....... HEAVEN!!!!!

Ahhh - once again, the old book by its cover phrase comes to mind.

You're assuming that's a real diamond - it's man made - a very reputable and highly recommended company, I have a 2 carat version of it now. You could by three of those rings for the price of your chair.

My mom can no longer walk, we think she just forgot how to because she can move her legs but she has had several strokes and has seizures. Well daddy bought her the "caddy" of recliners. It massages, heats up, it lifts her up to a standing position (she's short 5'7 lol) so he and her caregivers can put her in her wheelchair to take her in the kitchen to feed her or back to shower her or to the bathroom. It's a nice chair.

My splurge would be a new comforter or maybe a treadmill. I really need a mattress because I feel the springs even with 2 toppers on it.

You know what Soror....I think I will just go visit that chair in the store every now and then. I won't have the heart to purchase it after hearing your splurge.

I really don't have that kind of money to be throwing away on a chair like that anyway but I would have done it ...because it really made my back feel that good. I have to think on it some more. Maybe it will prevent back issues for me down the road....I don't know.

A massage chair is on my wish list too.

I have a hard time passing by a Brookstone store without stopping to test one out.
