Gym Is Open (Monday)
This is a holiday here in Utah. They call it Pioneer Day. Everyone wears bonnets, not really, but, the good thing is, it is a day off.
The gym is only open from 1 pm to 6 pm and it is so hot, I'm going to have to go over there instead of walk outside. My plan is to go at 4:30 pm today.
I walked 2 miles yesterday.
I've been busily going to concerts, exercising, doing my volunteer radio show and trying to still hold down my paying job.
What have you done to move your body today?
Lori
No Gym today, Lori, but did go to Arthritis PACE class so there's an hour of movement, at least. It's about 98 degree heat index today, so I'm *NOT* going outside to walk.
Last Wednesday (in St. Louis) I was walking across a parking lot and tripped on a curb (I'm *SO* graceful) and fell flat on my butt ... a year ago I would have reaaaaaaaally hurt myself doing that and it would have been a monumental embarrassment and hassle to have to be helped back up onto my feet ... this year things are different. I didn't really hurt myself more than a huge bruise on my hip and general soreness, but my back's using that excuse to flare up too ... so I'm back in phys therapy twice a week for a while. Then I'll start back on my former workout schedule.
One good thing that's happened at my therapy center (where I also do my workout) is they've added a recumbant trainer. I *really* like that one ... the elliptical was just too hard for me ... but this one is almost fun. I feel like it's really going to work my legs and that's a very good thing.
Sounds like you're a busy woman ... be sure and take care.
