Sorry to hear about your troubles. I have dry skin too. There is a company on the internet called MOMS where you can order the sprays and disposible cleaning cloths like are used in hospitals. You may be able to find them locally at a medical supply store. These cloths have aloe and are easy on your skin. You can also purchase a shower stool which should help should you prefer to use water. Hope this helps...best of everything. E.
Gail,
Three things really help my skin. I am constantly complimented on it. I drink about 100 oz of water a day. Every day. Without fail. I also take 1000 mg of flaxseed oil pills a day. I also take GNCs Hair,Skin and Nails. It's primary ingrediant is Bioxin. Which, once you have had your surgery, helps to minimize hair loss. I have to say, that all these things really help me. To be honest though, I think the water intake is the number one thing!
Good luck,
Lori

When selecting a skin cream, be sure to not use one that has silicone as an ingredient. This makes your skin feel soft, but it just stays on the surface. You might try olive oil (has been used for centuries in many parts of the world, including those with severe weather that is hard on skin) or a cream based on olive oil. I get one from ebubbles.com And be sure to use it just after showering when your skin is a bit damp (but not wet). If the oil doesn't help, you might try an udder cream or bag balm. They are thicker, but for severe dry skin.
Of course, you may need to go to a dermatologist and be sure it is not more than just dry skin.
Best of luck,
Sally
