What's everyone doing this weekend?

Labor Day weekend is almost here, so I'm curious as to what everyone has planned. We will probably go to a couple of movies, and I think my sister will grill something on the BBQ. I can't have grilled meat yet, so I'll have a small potato. "A Taste of Colorado" is on this weekend, but that's probably not the best place for a new post-op to go! What will you be doing this last weekend of the summer? Kix

We have Art Splash here in Sioux City, so I might go to some of that. It's going to be cloudy, so that is good thing for me. (I don't like to much sun.) I'll also try to get in some swimming, a trip or two to the dog park, fix meals for the week, and knit. Notice no housekeeping! Enjoy, Sally

Meeting friends for breakfast Saturday morning and stopping at the local Farmer's Market for fresh veggies. Also cleaning some carpeting on Saturday (what fun - not). Going to see a special presentation of the Wizard of Oz at an outdoor music venue, most likely on Sunday evening, complete with the movie on big screen and live orchestra. We'll take a picnic with us and sit on the lawn; the weather is supposed to nice, so this should be a lot of fun. Monday will be a lazy day at home. We'll grill some chicken and steaks if the weather is nice, plus whatever fresh veggies I find at the Farmer's Market on Saturday. Next up - Kellie

I get to start my long weekend by being admitted to the hospital Friday for another endoscopy. Since I know what to expect this time I don't think it will be that bad. Then I want to clean closets this weekend, get rid of clothes that are too big or I'll never wear again. Maybe a BBQ with friends on Monday.Hopefully I'll be able to get some swimming in and we've got some movies from Netflix to watch too. Hope everyone has fun this weekend! Janet

We have a rodeo in town, so lots of people, carnival, dinners, and flea markets and garage sales. I do a garage sale. plus I have one aunt coming in from out of town. And I have two brothers coming in. It will be a busy weekend. Then we have a barbeque for the whole family on monday after the parade. I am sitting the yard sale up today I usually have it up by dnow but it is been a busy week. love marie

Well Kix we just found out that we are moving HOME!! WOOO HOOO, back to Georgia. I can't believe we got lucky enough to be stationed in our hometown. I will be cleaning this weekend. I"ve been doing it a little at a time...getting rid of the old to make room for the new when we have our new place. We won't be leaving Hawaii until March but we are already looking at houses and talking with realtors..NO MORE BASE HOUSING!!! WOO HOO I love to clean my sister says I have OCD but I just love the way a clean house feels and I love to be organized so this weekend will be right up my alley. Jamie, I'm very excited to hear your news! I know you are homesick and eager to get back to Georgia, so congratulations on your new duty station! I've been on a few military bases and I haven't been impressed with base housing, so I cam imagine how nice it will be for you to have your own home. As for loving to clean, I think you need to be examined by a doctor immediately! Kix

HI Kix, I'm working this weekend. I usually work on Saturdays but since we are going to be so busy I have to work Sunday too. That's ok I get time and a half on Sundays. I am off Monday along with my hubby. Not sure what we are going to do. We usually go to the movies on Friday nights. Have a good weekend. Diana

Hey Kix, I have 2 dates this weekend, with 2 superhot young guys who both think I am super-groovy. One is only 24. Guess Carrie is getting her groove back. Haha. And I am going to get real drunk, probably twice. I am not advocating it, but, for me, a weekend bender of alcohol and fatty foods equals at least a 10 pound weight loss in 2 days, so I have been doing it every 4-6 weeks.
