For those of you that are on the other side: about what size do you have to be to be comfortable at an amusement park?? Please mention your height, as that plays a big part in overall size. This is one of my biggest goals with my weight loss, but I have no idea what size I have to be to do this.

Im not going to be of much help here really.. Im 5'4 and was about 180 when I went on rides. I had more then enough room!! Actually I had so much room that came home bruised up from being bounced all over the seats.. I could have easily gone and fit into the rides without problems much sooner but I was chicken to try.. I think its going to depend on how your built too.. is your weight evenly distributed, do you carry most of your weight in the middle, etc... (I carried it all in the middle section!!) Now a girl from another board just went to Busch Gardens... She was 280 and fit into the rides without a problem. I have no clue how tall she is. You can find her profile though.. Look for One Life And Its Mine and she posts on the Florida board quite often.. She has pictures and details of her experience with rides.. Its worth checking out.. Amber

actually that is helpful! How tall was your friend?? Pre surgery I was big all over but now my top and my bottom (legs) are getting smaller and everything is staying in the middle.... We'll see how things go - I'm just impatient... I want to go NOW, you know?

I didnt start to go onto rides until just this month and I am 5'10 and weigh 207 lbs, but I probably could have went on them sooner because there was plenty of room on the rides for me and my kids and my husband to fit. You may want to be careful though because I experienced something I have never experienced and that was I got sick on rides, and really really dizzy. I NEVER used to and used to go on EVERY ride imaginable, but even some of the easy rides made my equilibrium off. Dont know if its just the fact that I havent been on any rides in almost 20 years, but I was sick for days afterwards and couldnt get back to myself. I am 16 months out, and for the most part can and will do anything, but this just wore me out. Hope your doing great, and cant wait til your out there and on the rides too.
