First flight since surgery
We're flying to Seattle for the weekend to visit friends and I'm very excited! I love to travel but the last time I flew anywhere was the very first time I had to wear a seat belt extender. I was humiliated, I swore it would be the very last time too!
After losing 144 pounds I don't think fitting in the seat will be a problem anymore, and I'm thrilled to be flying once again!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Jan, a friend of mine who had surgery the same day I did just came back from a trip to Arizona, and she was thrilled to report that she was able to fit in the middle seat (without any discomfort) on a very crowded flight home! I expect you'll have the same reaction!
I used to buy two seats when I flew, and I look forward to not having to do that once I'm able to travel by air again.
Hope the weather in Seattle was decent for you -- at any rate, I'm sure it was much cooler than what you've been getting in SoCal lately! I spent two years in the Pacific Northwest, and I swear the only time the sun came out was in July.

We got back in last night after our wonderful power tour weekend! Saturday we surprised our friends kids, and we all went to the Space Needle for lunch, it was a cool, cloudy, rainy day but we still had great views. I was actually able to buy a t-shirt that fit!! It's been years since I've done that.
After that we walked all around Pikes Market Place, and I just loved it!
Sunday was a beautiful day and we toured all around and took nice long walks near the water.
The flights were wonderful, on the way there we had a rather empty flight and were in bulk head seats, I had no problems fitting at all and was thrilled to be able to buckle the seatbelt and have the tray fit fine!
Funny thing on the way back I was sitting in the middle seat, the man next to me kept the window shades down and slept, it was a bit annyoing because I like to look out. Finally he woke up and I asked if I could open the shade. He said "Oh if you want to look out we can change seats", so hubby then moved and sat in the middle, gave this man the asle seat and I scooted over to the window. I saw why he had them down, it was very warm, but as cold as I am it felt good. Anyway when hubby moved to the seat I was in, he went to put the seatbelt on and said hey! I looked and it was too tight for him! We both chuckled, inside I was thrilled!
