I had a pretty good week! My angel told me that the protein I was taking wasn’t pure protein. It was a mixture of protein; therefore, my absorption of it was probably minimal. She also told me that I needed to increase it even higher. I take a 1 and ¼ scoop of protein powder (either Body Fortress or Isopure) and add it to 3 – 4 oz of water. I stir it up real good and then I just gulp it down. It takes about 3 or 4 gulps, but I get it down. That combination is about 30 g of protein. I do those 3 times a day, making that 90 g of protein just on supplements alone. I get the rest in through food. For the past week, I averaged about 100 – 130 g of protein a day. I guess it worked because I ended up loosing 5 lbs this week. Have a great week everyone! Hello everyone, after being stalled for a couple of weeks this past month it is good to have back to back losing weeks. I have past the half century mark in weight loss and I have been released by my nutritionist to try all foods, so salads here I come.

Today is supposed to be 92 and our first day in the 90's - it will be warm but whenever I start to complain I will think of you down there in the peach state!
I didn't get to post last week due to my dad's surgery, so I'm going to do double duty this week (especially since I did so good last week!)
Surgery weight: 371
2 weeks ago weight: 215
Last weeks weight: 208
This week's weight: 205
I have been so focused on making my goal of 180 that I didn't even realize how close I am to being in the 100's! I can't believe it's only 6 pounds away. Something to work for the next month.
I did have a fun moment last night. I have some clothes from about 12 years ago, which was the last time I had successfully lost a lot of weight. As i've lost weight I've been trying on those clothes, but there were some skirts and pair of pants that I haven't been able to fit into yet. I tried them on last night and they fit! Wow, I was shocked. These are the last of my 'skinny' clothes to try on - from here on out it's all new clothes.
never in a million years would I think I would be smaller than I was at that time.
