Wow, between your very organized sweet shoppe pictures and your very organized schedule, I'm going to take a wild guess that your closets look NOTHING like mine!

That's a recent development! I'm a pisces/aquarian Art Teacher , so organization has never been my thing, but losing a bunch of weight has made it more possible to get around to doing things I should have been doing all along-- my classroom and house look a whole lot better than they ever did. It's kinda like my whole self is on a diet. The schedule is more or less dictated by when I get breaks at work. It'll get a lot fuzzier in the summer!

Well, after a weekend of eating pasta salad (and we still have .5 bowl left, does it multiply in the fridge at night when the fridge light goes off?), I feel quite bloated, so I need to just eat protein on Tuesday.  We'll see what transpires.  Kix

11 a.m. bloodwork?  Sheese, I have to go first thing in the morning -- like 7:30-8:00 a.m. -- otherwise I'd be in trouble!  I had blood drawn a couple weeks ago, but won't get the results until my annual follow-up appointment with my surgeon next Monday, 5/12.  I feel great, so I'm hopeful that my bloodwork will all be in normal ranges.  I hope the same is true for you as well -  I had a great food day Monday - no extra snacks, so night time grazing, no serious head hunger.  It showed up a little on the scale today, but I'm still retaining fluid.  Think that's related to PMS, so hopefully it'll go away in a few days.  Here's my plan for Tuesday - edited Wednesday morning to reflect actual consumption and daily totals
Breakfast:  1 cup 1% milk in my coffee, 1 packet Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal

Snack #1:  1 cup low-fat cottage cheese, 4 tbsp. sugar-free preserves, 1/2 c. sliced strawberries

Snack #2:  1 small banana, 6 oz. Breyer's light yogurt [workout #1:  yoga]

Lunch:  Lean Cuisine thai-style chicken

Snack #3:  Fage 2% yogurt, 1/4 c. Bob's Red Mill Muesli, ~1/2 c. fresh strawberries, ~1 oz. fresh blueberries
Snack #4:  1 slice whole-grain bread, 3 oz. honey ham, 1 slice low-fat cheese, alfalfa sprouts, 1/2 oz. pretzel snaps

[workout #2:  60 minutes of cardio]

Snack #5:  medium apple

Dinner:  ~5 oz. broiled steak, 2 oz. shrimp ****tail, 2 tbsp. ****tail sauce, ~ 2 c. leafy romaine, 2 tbsp. light salad dressing, 1/2 oz. crunchy rice noodles
Snack #6:  small banana, 2 sugar-free fudgsicles

Total calories:  2213
Carbs:  316
Fats:  46.9
Fiber:  35.2
Protein:  165.7 Today's weight:  195.4

Good job hon!!! Give it a few days and you should be down to where you want to be. I'm stubbornly staying at 178 - ticks me off big time. But I'm sure part of it is my asthma meds so hopefully modifiying that will help. Good luck today! Stay Strong!!!!

Thanks, PJ!  Sometimes I still have this unrealistic expectation that I should drop 5 pounds because I was good for a couple days.  You'd think I'd know better by now, but some times the old brain is just stubborn.  Intellectually, I know that if I stay the course for 12-14 days, I'll definitely be back down to 189-190, perhaps a little lower.  But it requires daily diligence and no straying.  I really appreciate your support and words of encouragement; it does help.   Interesting about the Singulair - I hope that stopping it has the desired result.  And it sounds like your asthma is well controlled with other drugs, so stopping the Singular should not have any negative effect on your health.   Good luck to you today as well - we can do this!!!!
