"Walk Away The Pounds" - any others??

Hi guys,

I'm still pre-op but because it's so hard for me to get my butt in gear and get out and walk, (not to mention the cool/cold weather), my sis in law recommended that I get "Walk Away The Pounds." She says it's very simple and you get a walking kind of workout. There's no hard moves to memorize and no getting down on the floor.

I'm 402 lbs (BMI = 59.6) and this is a plus for me.

I went right to Amazon.com and ordered two of those videos.

Anybody know of any other good exercise DVD's for the super morbidly obese? I know I'm going to be building a collection as I go along.

the walk away the pounds is the only thing I use. I love Leslie. Its a great workout. Congrats on starting healthy habbits. I am interested in what other ideas are out there though good luck

i have the walk away the pound on vhs from way back when i was doing atkins.  think i'll pull mine out to join you.  maybe we could start a post to encourage each other and gett others to join.

Hi! I usually post on the non-op message board, because right now it looks like I'm not gonna be able to get the surgery unless I win the lottery, and I'd have to play first for that to happen.   Right now I'm on Atkins, and it's been working pretty well for me so far (this is only my 3rd week on the plan) I too need to work some excersice into my routine, but because of my bad back and bad knees (arthritis at 29 really sucks!!) I have trouble doing alot of workouts and once I'm on the ground it's almost impossible to get up.  I would love to join in on a post encouraging each other. On the other board, we post what we've eaten for the day, and it really helps me to be accountable for what I eat during the day. I think it could work for excercise too!

I have the walk away the pounds videos too, 1,2, and 3 mile workouts...will definantly be starting with 1 mile! I have sweatin to the oldies also, but not sure if I could do that one at this point   I also have some Crunch videos that are more upbeat and fun, almost like dance moves, but I know I can't do those right now.
