I need Sleep Study Info please..
Hey Kay,
I had a sleep
study this past May. I stayed overnight. It was pretty easy getting all hooked-up. They put this glue gunk in your hair to put the probes on. They monitor your heart, oxygen levels etc. Part-way through the night they put the cpap machine on me. I had a hard time getting to sleep with everything hooked up to me.
I felt closterphobic (I know that is NOT how you spell it--interesting try though)
and I couldn't sleep, knowing that the cameras were on the ceiling above my head. I truly think that I would had rather given birth!! So please take this small bit of advise....don't take a nap
the day of the sleep study (like I did) and maybe bring your own pillow! Good luck to you***Virginia
I have cancelled my sleep study twice becauyse of the anxiety I have over going there!!! I am not afraid of much and have no apprehension about the surgery but this is freaking me out!
Sleeping in a strange place with strangers looking at me all night.. creeps me out.
My sister said not to bring my own pillow since that glue they use stinks and will ruin my pillow.
I truly don't know why this bothers me so badly.
My next appt is tuesday night so I hope I get over it by then...
Aww, I hope you can get over the anxiety to go through with your sleep study.
Thats the only thing that worries me too.. I already have a problem with people staring at me
I told my friend that I might make a ugly face at the camera a couple times to relax.
I wonder do you have to sleep on your back? Did your sister say anything about that?I sleep on my stomach.
Sending Good vibes your way for a successful Apt.
Kay
My sis said they kept bothering her all night.. but she is a whiner LOL My pamphlet from the sleep lab said they will "attempt" to get me on my back. Well... they can try but it isn't going to happen... LOL I have been talking to other ppl and they all say it was the easiest test ever...
The thought of making faces at the camera made me laugh.. everyone tells me the sleep people watch the monitors and NOT the camera... a funny face or even a "moon" would certainly settle that matter.. LOL
thanks for the good vibes...
