Congratulations Vee! It will be here before you know it! My suggestions are to read as much as possible about the surgery in advance, so you'll know what to expect. There are some excellent books out there. Start cutting out the stuff you can't have after surgery, especially caffeine. You don't want to be dealing with a caffeine withdrawal in the hospital. You will be able to have it again, but, it will be awhile. Give up sodas, regular and diet. They are out of your life forever. Try to cut back on carbs. All this stuff seems counter-intuitive to do before WLS, since you will be physically restricted afterwards, but, I tell you, it will make your whole experience easier! Many doctors put there patients on a liquid diet for 1 to 2 weeks before surgery to shrink back their livers. It will be so worth it in the long run! I'm thrilled for you!
