Size 17/18!!!!
Well, I was folding laundry today, and I noticed one of my daughters skirts I always loved, a long denim skirt. It is a size 17/18, although she is usually a 15, so I am thinking it runs small. I decide to try it on, thinking to myself that this is the biggest size they sell in a non-plus size department, the juniors department actually. I was expecting to maybe get it over my hips, but definitely not zip and button. Guess what! I zipped, and buttoned and it felt great! Not too tight. I am sooooooo excited! I was a 22 before hernia repair a couple weeks ago, tight around the belly but the legs were very loose, so it made a difference of at least 2 sizes!!
Now, I don't know how to keep this news from my daughter. She is only 13 and will be absolutely devastated. So for now, it is just our little secret, OK?
LOL, I don't ever remember being a size 17. I went from Sears/JC Penney "Pretty Plus" or "Extra Special" kids clothes to 22W at least.
Sorry for more bragging, I am just way excited, and it lets you pre-ops know what you are in store for!!
Good luck!
Carrie
Kay,
I was discouraged at first as well. I wore my pre-op clothes until I was about 4 months out. Although they were getting loose, they really didn't translate to a smaller size, and now, all of a sudden, I am wearing regular sizes. It is amazing!
Congratulations on losing almost 100 pounds!
