Clothes buying bingeing?

I can't seem to quit buying clothes. I'm buying very cheap ones, but, seem to keep going through these periods of wanting stuff that fits, even though it may not fit for long. I think I will feel better about it when I'm closer to my goal so that I know the clothes will last. Although, since I've been on a stall with my weight loss, clothes are still lasting...it just feels so fantastic to wear normal sizes! In our support group they told us that "you don't have to buy everything just because it fits!" I laughed at the time, but, feel myself in that trap. There was just so many years of not finding things that fit. I'm a nut. Lori 384/245/168

Hello Lori, I know what you mean. I love to shop but I loved to shop when I was big too. I have become quite the resale shopper. I am also lucky that I have been given lots of clothes. My sister in law had WLS a year before me. I would see her wear big baggy clothes and they looked terrible on her. I told myself I would never be like that. I even have hubby looking for clothes bargains at resale shops. LOL He's addicted too. Your fellow shop-a-holic friend, Diana 379/175/?

Diana, Now that I'm a size 18, I now have the courage to try re-sale shops, I never did before. Thanks for the encouragement! Lori

Hi Lori, AS you know, I am still pre-op but this one of my biggest fears. I am a huge clothes shopper now so I am totally terrified of how much shopping I will do when I can shop anywhere! But doesn't it feel great?!?!?!?! Lori

Lori, I'd like to tell you that you won't have a problem with this, but, as you can see, it will be tough...especially when you feel and look so good in clothes offered everywhere! Good luck to both of us! Lori

Hey Lamont Oops....I mean Big Funn! The googling part never bothered me. You just need to remember that anything you say on here might be found online. OH trys to stop that from happening, but it isn't 100%. I think the nickname suits you. Larry

I saw all the posts on the main board and the flurry of name changes. I did take the step to remove my last name from my profile. I considered changing to handle I've used for last 10 years of online gaming - Count Zero but I know I've used that to help hide who I actually am. I totally understand anyone who wants to change their name on their profile I just need to keep my name to keep reminding myself to be honest. Dan

Lori, I feel you 100% on this issue. I just can not seem to stop buying these days All of my other clothes were startingto hang off and just look incredibly frumpy. I bought a few things at my current siza and people really started noticing. Now I am unstoppable. It's like every weekend I need to buy something. Oh yeah my addiction for purses , accessories and shoes have grown right along with my new found love for clothes. I have however bought a few things that are smaller than the size that I am now. What can I say, I love a deal....... Kwheen Your fellow shopaholice
