I understand. I grew up having hamsters. My daughter had the sweetest hamster that died last year. she cuddled it for hours after he died. It was the saddest day ever. We had a funeral and I made a cross as a headstone. She was too heartbroken to even ask for another one.

Last week I posted I gained 10lbs of water weight after my plastic surgery...even though I know 'this is water weight' messes with your head. So it came off and I lost a few bonus pounds from surgery. That I was expecting, it's surgery just all in one week- crazy So I got home from my PS in DC last wednesday and was up 10lbs- 188. This morning I was 173. Which puts me at a nice round number lost since meeting with my surgeon for the first time, 210lbs lost. Somehow numbers in 5lb increments make me happy. LOL.

This week started out kinda ****ty. Had to put one of my hamsters to sleep on Sunday. Because no vets are open on weekends, I had to go to an emergency vet and pay an emergency fee. $250 for the whole shebang with communal cremation.
****ty, but at least I know the poor thing didn't suffer in the end. He had testicular cancer and had stopped eating, drinking, and running around.
I know people think I'm crazy, because it's "just a hamster", but I get very attached to my pets. This was a good hamster. Never bit, very fun little guy. Before the cancer, he lived a full life, and I'm glad for that.
I'm very excited about this week's weight loss. I'm in period week and normally I put on 5ish lbs of water weight per period. BUT I'm down 1lb from last week, so I'm excited to weight myself next week when my period is over.

Last weekend was a fun one for my daughter and I. I am an Auburn alum and our football coach came to speak to our group Friday night. I love dressing up now. Here are a couple of pics...

I had the VSG because I had a lot of family that had RNY and they gained most of their weight back plus I didn't want my intestines rerouted. I could lose weight but couldn't keep it off. I've been happy with my decision.
Hi ladies,
Hope everyone is having a good week.

I was surprised by how much I lost this week. I thought I was eating crappie last week. I'll take it.
I had RNY and am very happy with my choice so far. I had a BMI of 63.
A lot of my choice was more about the surgeons in my area and what they were most experienced in.
VSG and DS are both really great options as well.

I had the vsg & am happy with my choice. Some people can't lose all they need to lose with a restriction only type of surgery & needed the boost the malabsorption procedures like the rny & ds provides.
Either surgery is good, but it'll still take hard work to get to goal & stay there.
