Both GNC and Vitamin Shoppe will let you return. GNC you get a refund, Vitamin Shoppe you get a Store credit, that being said Vitamin Shoppe has a bigger selection.

I know people do like the Body Fortress, but it is Whey Concentrate I believe. Besides being a better protein source, Whey Isolate doesn't have lactose which can be harder to digest after surgery. Whey Concentrate does. Especially early out when your system is try to figure it all out.

I have to say the ready to drink Premier Proteins are my stand by now, because they are easy to take with me. I think they are a better source of protein than carrying a protein bar. You can buy at Walmart(more expensive but good to see if you like, ...buy by the case at Sams, BJs or Costco. much cheaper.

Thanks Laura, good to know i'm not alone. Sugar is gone again as of tomorrow. I'll be tweaking by lunch lol. It will come off somewhat quickly oce I get all of the water bloating out of me.

I can do a lot of damage in a few days, too (and did during Easter weekend).

I am so embarrassed to post this, but post it I shall. I was 218 this morning. 218...W.T.F. Ok I had some Easter chocolate, and kicked myself completely out of ketosis. I'm starting a new exercise group with a local gym this week. SO I guess I had better just knuckle down get back to it. I was slightly bad for 5 days and look where it got me. I wasn't pigging out I wasn't crazy high on calories I had my protein, but it proves once again how insidious sugar is for me, no matter how little I consume. I can consume zero. That's my limit.

My measurements are still the same. Bust 42.25, Waist 35.5 and hips 45.5.

I hope everyone else had a much better week than I! Love to all.

Topic: RE: Anyone here had the DS??

I agree with Laura - real DS, but not one of the others. The sadi or loop aren't going to have the same results, but what concerns me more is that while the DS has been done and has statistics since 1988, those others are new with no long term data, and more importantly, aren't usually covered by insurance so I'd be leery of how they are being coded for insurance.

I know others who thought they were getting the real DS, and I know those whos insurance paid for a real DS, and that's not what they got. I'd be very concerned about the insurance coming after ME to pay for the surgery once they realize that what they paid for and what was done weren't the same thing, but living with an experimental surgery is just one more reason to run.

By the way, the surgery is much faster and easier for surgeons to do, so many are anxious to do that instead. Too bad easier for them doesn't translate to better for us.

Happy Birthday Ladies. My birthday is April 29. I think I'm celebrating early because I made a cake with sugar free frosting this weekend. At least I gave part of it away today. I  even managed to lose weight this week.

Good for you! It felt weird to me too as I got closer & closer to onederland. I'm taking a break from the scale this week. Shameless plug-It's my birthday week.   My B-day is actually on the 6th but I'm celebrating in my own way all week. Heck I used to do it all month. Not doing anything crazy, will still reach my protein, water, vitamins goals etc, & I'll try not to put myself in a cookie coma lol.

No new stats.....
