I am stopping back by, as I rarely but still occasionally do. The longer I get from my WLS, the more memories fade. Struggle is just as real, but I know what and where I am going with my ways to deal or make changes.
WLS helped me in this process!
Although, it is is not a cure all!
9-11-17 my goal to lose weight still. I have been lingering and bouncing up and down never having gotten to "onederland"!
So hard, yet so easy!?
Started Keto again. Did it 3mobths beginning of this year and felt great. Summer is over, and back to it!!
I really want badly to succeed! I now have my all into this! Today joined Planet Fitness and "it's on"!!!!
I miss OH over 50 BMI

I REFUSE TO GIVE IN TO FAILURE
I REFUSE TO GIVE UP
I AM HUMAN

food is not my enemy

I haven't been on here forever. Been a weird summer for me as well. :) Since my Dexa at the beginning of August, realizing I was still losing significant muscle mass- one year plus on that, as well as consistently post-WLS being varying degrees of protein deficient on bloodwork...had to do some soul searching, and get advice from people I trusted and change up my food choices. It is a trend on both accounts that needs to be reversed.

That has meant adding in some carbs. With the slippery slope of fear they create and just the general mindset I've walked my WLS life with that has not been easy. Interesting fact when you have been low carb/keto for a long time and your glycogen stores are depleted and then you add carbs back in- even a modest amount- you can gain 5-6lbs quickly as your glycogen stores are replenished. Hmmm. Yup. That happened. Not fun. So I am at a high weight for me- in what I have named my 'oh crap' zone. oh well. Trying to keep my head on straight and ride the wave of change. I know it is part of my body adjusting and trying not to freak out. I am not worried. I will lose the few eventually and be back in my comfort zone.

Good morning - I wish I was better at getting on to this forum weekly. I do weigh daily though and it works for me - even when the scale isn't moving.

LW: 183.9

TW: 184.5 (my lowest was for 1 day 183.2)

HW 294.6

Next goal 179 - the 180s has been the slowest for me so far so I'm really wishing for a significant drop.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 82.

68 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

Wow, everyone is doing great!!

I wish we had a BMI Ticker. Being 4'9" I'm a "lightweight" so sharing lbs isn't really helpful. But I've been @ goal for almost 4 years.

Hi all,

I had RNY on Friday. :)

HW: 308

LW: 298

TW: 289.5

Goal: not scale related yet; at this point, it's to continue to navigate the new eating, get through liquid stage, keep upping my protein until I'm getting 60-80g, and to heal.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. Choose happy.

Hello weekly weighers

I've been MIA from these boards for awhile now... life has really piled on over the past few months, some good, some bad but I'm surviving. My weight loss has slowed significantly over the past month and I'm 100% ok with that, in fact I've been getting a lot of concerned comments from my family and I agree with some of their concerns. Yesterday I weighed in at 174.1 which officially puts me out of the obese category and into overweight for probably the first time in my life. I'm a regular at Value Village and I my closet is now full of medium and large size clothes (wtf!?!) a long way from the 5x I was in at this time last year. I've been asking my bf to point out women I look similar to just to try to wrap my brain around it all.... not a task he's thrilled about lol but it's helpful to have that little bit of added perspective.

So I keep plugging away...I've been by no means perfect and I've been reminded a few times when I tried to "be normal" or push the rules.

HW 386

LW 175.4

TW 174.1

Goals: I've realized that the daily menu thing is too much for me right now but I have to commit to these weekly weigh ins until I have more time again.

Hmmm... I don't have any scale goals at the moment. Reaching 175 seemed like such a far off dream and now that I'm here I just can't fathom what comes next. The reality is that reaching a normal BMI of 145 kinda scares me. I don't think it would look good on me at all but now that the losses are happening slower maybe my body will balance out a little and I'll get closer to "normal" in a healthy way. Overwhelming to say the least....

Have a great week everyone!!

Morning!

thanks for kicking us off Gwen!

im back from our weekend away. And the scale is much kinder than I was expecting, considering. It's funny how your perspective can change. I consider the apple, corn on the cob and popcorn I had over the weekend to be super indulgent. But seriously, my carbs still never broke 50.

im going to try and really buckle down this week. I'm so close to 200 pounds lost, and my one year surgiversary is on the 8th!

stats:

HW: 378

LW:183.4

TW: 181.7

Goals: 178 (200 pounds lost)

hope everyone has a great week!
