That's great to hear things are moving along for you - you'll be under 200 before you know it!

I've been super absent for weeks now - sorry guys! I've been feeling really crappy. We think it's a sinus infection and I'm on like 4 meds now, so hopefully I'm on the road to recovery.

Not sure what weight I was when I last checked in, I'm guessing around 134 because that's where I was steady for ahwile and that's what I thought was going to be my maintenance. But I'm getting confused because since Christmas I randomly will lose 2 pounds or so. I do stick closely to my meal plan in eating no rice, bread, or pasta pretty much ever. I have loosened up being as stick with other things. I eat around 5 ounce meals but do occasionally allow myself to have treats - like on vacation, or this weekend I had Rita's water ice - I got the sugar free ice, which I know has a bazillion carbs in it, but I got the kiddie size and ate half of it...

Anyways - all that to say - I'm confused with the weight loss when it occurs at this point. I'm 26 months out from surgery and happy with where I am. I've lost 249 pounds and my BMI is 21.3. I'm not worried about wasting away lol but what is going on when that happens? I find it bizarre!

Last week: 131

This week: 128

Goal: To maintain below 145

morning weekly weighers!

Well, the scale started moving again. Cutting back on dairy and upping my meat protein seems to have moved things along I guess. Or it's that I've also lowered my sodium....or it's just a coincidence.... whatever, I'll take it hahah

Gwen, I guess the countdown is really on now for you! So exciting! Hope you're not too anxious!

NSVs are coming from the strangest places these days. I was cleaning the car on the weekend, and I realized I could crawl all over the place and sit in weird angles to vacuum. Where as pre op, just sitting in a car was often uncomfortable. The seatbelt was maxed out and the buckle would dig into my side.

Goals: I'm just focusing on getting under 200. That's as far as I can think right now. My other goal of always losing at least 10lbs per month is getting a little trickier, my months are set to my surgery date, which is the 8th of each month. It's going to be a squeaker this month if I make it...

Caresource Ohio requires 9 months of supervised and registered/logged weight loss attempt with a doctor/clinic. BMI of 50, 40 with at least one co-morbidity, or under 40 with 2 co-morbidities. Psych exam, pre-surgery counseling and nutritional education, letter of necessity from PCP, at least 21 years-old, and surgery in a Center of Excellence --- there's more but you will have to get it from their updated information.

Approval takes an average of 6 to 8 weeks after completing all the requirements.

You would have to call caresource and check with them to see if weight loss surgery is approved and if they have any requirements like a 6 month doctor supervised diet.

Gwen, you must be so excited with only two weeks to go!

I just passed my 6 month mark on Sunday so this week I was pretty focused on posting a good number. Things are moving in the right direction which is good but I'm still not really happy about my routine. I've been working long days and I've been so focused on learning everything I have to learn before the training wheels are pulled off that I haven't been as good about my hydration as I should be or perfect with my vitamins. Consistency is challenging.

LW- 215.7

TW- 211.3

Next mini goal is 209.8 (100lbs lost post op), followed by getting under 200, then 193 (half my starting weight) and 186 (200lbs lost).

Have a great week guys!

So my theory that my weight is spiking due to my cycles is out the window since my cycle is done, and my weight was down and now is back up again. This 3rd year is proving to be a ***** Grrr!

I may have made a rash decision out of frustration-- but I upped my ultimate goal weight to 187. I'm perfectly happen where I am (well where I was 3#ago...), but have always wanted a greater cushion away from 200. Since I'm happy- all I'm going to work for is my cushion.

195.5 last week (I think)

197.5 today

goal: 187

5'6.5" High weight:337 Lowest weight:193/31 BMI: Goal: 195-205/31-32 BMI

Morning!

Thanks for getting us started Gwen! Yesterday was a holiday in Canada, and I totally forgot it was a Monday!

Also, maybe part of me was feeling meh about recording my weight. The last couple of weeks have been slow and sluggish in the loss department.

My rational brain knows it's just part of the process, but I also know that while I've been keeping my calories in check, my protein has slipped a bit. More fruit and nuts and seeds etc. Not bad choices per se , just more like maintenance choices, so time to clean things up a bit...

TW: 221...

Goals: under 200. But right now I'd settle for under 220!

I want to hit a certain weight before my 2 year anniversary. I'm not sure what I want that weight to be. I keep changing it every day and sometimes multiple times in the same day. LOL I'm not really sure what is even realistic weight loss for me anymore and I don't want to make unobtainable goals.

LW: 187

TW: 187.8

Right now my mini goal is 184, so I can weigh less than my total weight lost.
