Oh my! Do you have realyl talented cats or what??? Please reply with your cute cat stories and tricks!!!!!!!! They always make me happy! I have three cats... First of all everyone says cats are sooo independent and not like dogs, who coem when u want. My cats are like that, but they are there when I need love. Its like they know when I am sad or need a friend. I have a cat (black and white) tuxedo cat and he is 18lbs! He is the biggest pig--- always wants food. He will open a draw (knows where the treats are) and drag the treat bag and rip it open. WOW! He also never stops crying when u are in the kitchen. He also can open cabinet doors and hide with the pantry items. I have a white cat with orange on the head and tail only. He is the loner cat. He loves to be a baby and climb on me. He goes to my neck and paws me like I am momma with milk. He sucks my neck and paws. THIS IS WEIRD TO ME !!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else's cat do this???? He also loves WATER. He always tips water cups over to get the water out. Drinks from the toliet and loves the shower!!!!!!!!!!! He even lays in the sink! Weird! I also have a new kitten (grey striped tabby) and he is very lovey. Always purring, but has claws that are sooooo sharp. He is already 8 lbs! We feed um' good! He loves to play with lids of water bottles... carries them around and plays with um all over the house Ok--- please reply with your stories and about u r beloved cats!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness. Cat stories? I have 9 babies. I have tons of stories. Too many to tell all right now, but let me tell you a little about my babies. I have Cinderella (white and gray), Mischief (gray tiger), Toby (long-haired black 22 lb. kitty), Jasmine (tiny white and gray), Molly (Jasmine's sister, tiny black kitty), Snickers (little calico, Molly's baby), Bailey (big long-haired gray, Molly's other baby), Gypsy (all gray with a black nose!) and Seymour (pure white yellow eyes). There is that all of them? Anyway, they are all so unique and special in their own ways! They are spoiled and fresh! Most of my kitties I rescued from abandonment and abusive homes. Molly was 3 days short of having her babies when I got her. The guy who had her put her outside to fend for herself because she was eating too much. Hello, she was so pregnant. But anyway, Molly likes to head-butt me. She and Jasmind don't like to be held, but they like to jump on my lap and head-butt my head. Its really cute. Toby likes to be held upside down like a baby, and have his belly rubbed. And he also likes me to throw treats up in the air so he can catch them (or try anyway!) in his mouth. If the treat hits the ground, he will not eat it. Sometimes he catches it in his paws. He will also sit when you tell him to sit. Seymour watches TV. They really do lots of crazy things, and I love them so very much. It sounds like you love yours like crazy too! I love to hear stories of cats in happy homes, because there are so many that are stray and unloved. Write back with more stories, as will I!!! Desirae

Hi, Alice! I love my cats more than anything!!!!! I, also, have 3. Tigger will be 10 next month. She weighs 12 pounds. We got her from the shelter when she was 4 years old!! Her family all of a sudden decided they didn't want her any more - unbelievable!!! She is a beautiful torty Maine coon and very lovable!! She loves to sit on the screened-in porch and "chatter" at birds and squirrels! Peepers just turned 2 yesterday. She weighs 8 pounds. She was a stray from a friend of mine. (She had the mom cat and her 8 babies!!) Peepers is black - and so precious!!! She loves to play fetch with her furry mice or her fuzz balls. She comes up to you with a fuzz ball in her mouth and "peeps" at you to throw it. Our newest baby is Miss Chickapea. She is almost 5 months old and only weighs 3 pounds!!! She was the runt of a litter that was abandoned by their mother at 2 days old. She was bottle fed by my friend until she was 4 weeks and then I took her. She fit in the palm of your hand!!!!!!!! Now she is a feisty little dickens - into everything and a bundle of love!!!!! She is calico. So that's all my babies - I love them bunches!! I think that will be the worstpart of the hospital stay - not seeing my babies and waking up in the morning getting my faced bathed!! Best of luck to you all and I enjoy all the stories!!!

These are some really cute stories. I love to hear about people who take good care of their animals especially cats. I have one, Queen Katalina. She is a lynx point siamese with of course blue eyes. She is the love of my life. She is an indoor only cat but gets to go out on the balcony when I am home. She is my shadow, always follwing me around. She likes to sleep by my side with her head in my armpit. Go figure. When I lay on my side, she sleeps on my hip. She has lots of different beds, but prefers me instead. She comes to me when I whistle and she will lick me on the cheek if I lean down by her and ask for kisses. When she is on the balcony, she catches falling leaves and brings them inside to me for praise. My little hunter I tell her. Her favorite toys are the small knitted ponytail holders. I call them her fuzzies. She will play with them by herself, throwing them into the air and swatting them. Somehow she gets them to move as if they were alive scattering across the kitchen floor. Sometimes I wake up with them in my bed or find them in my shoes. That's cats for you. Independent but needy. For anyone who is interested, I have an online cat business that will be up and running within the month. If you would like to be on the notification list, send me your email and I will notify you when it is up.

Ok here is a story about my crazy puppy-kitty (that is what I call her! Her name is Jaeda and she is a multi colored cat when her hair is brushed back she is gray but if you bru**** the wrong way she is white??? weird I know. She was a stray, I found her outside work and the vet said she was only 4 weeks old (I hate people who desert animals) Any way she is about 9 months old now and she thinks she is a dog. She love to play hide and seak (I hide, she seaks) she carries little pices of paper in her paws and throws it just to go fetch it. She loves to sneak up on me when I am walking around the house and try to bite my ankles. One really funny thing she did was...... I have a cat tower that goes from the floor to the celing and she was sleeping on the middle shelf. She rolled over in her sleep and fell right off the tower. She looked so darn confused and cute when she landed. My poor puppy-kitty. If you check out my profile, there is a picture of her on it. Jessie

Your cats have a lot in common with my three. I could tell you a million cat stories, I grew up with Siamese in the house since I was a toddler (and I'm now 39) and they are different from other cats, their personality is like a mixture of busy two-year-old child with a bit of cat and dog thrown in for good measure. When I got my first cat of my own, when I was in university, I liked her, but felt something was missing. She was a tabby who came from a shelter. I was so used to Siamese that anything else didn't seem like a "real" cat to me, and as soon as I could, I got one. I used to have one who could turn the doorknob to get out of a room, by jumping up, wrapping her paws over the top of the knob, then twisting her body to turn the knob. Most of the Siamese I've had, have all come from the same breeder and bloodlines, and they all have the natural tendency to fetch. One used to fetch only wooden clothespins, others I've had preferred bits of pipe-cleaner or twist ties, and cloth-covered ponytail elastics. My sister owned one who had a fixation for anything that was purple - he liked to sleep on a purple towel, and loved to steal and rip up slips of paper that were purple. I live in Canada, where $10 bills are purple... so you can imagine what happened to those if they were left where he could find them! His name, by the way, was "Cellostino" which is Italian for "little blue". One of the Siamese I have now, a bluepoint named Skye, loves ponytail elastics and beanie babies. The trouble is, she likes to try and eat the things she fetches! She ate the feet off of a rare beanie baby my daughter had, one that was worth over $1000 apparently... we found it in her food dish. That's where she stores her toys if she's not playing with them. We have to keep her favourite things away from her though, for obvious reasons. If I do give her a ponytail holder to play fetch with, then get distracted after she brings it back, she will claw at my feet (gently at first, then harder and harder****il I start throwing it for her again. Once the game is over, I have to take the toy away... she knows where I keep them though, and will go to any lengths to get at them. I have to keep them in a tightly-sealed tupperware container, as she can open closet doors and many drawers. She is our most vocal cat, she converses with my daughter especially, they have long conversations that consist mainly of "nang" and "nack", back and forth to each other. It's funny watching Skye's face during these conversations, as she always looks like she's saying something very serious and important. The funniest part is when she seems to go to great effort (with the serious look on her face) to push out a meow, her mouth opens, but no sound comes out! Piper, my male lilacpoint, loves any small bits of plastic he can find, including the plastic water bottle caps. He stores these in my bed, he digs his way under the covers and puts them there. When I go to bed at night, and take down the covers, I usually have to brush off an assortment of things like water bottle caps, twist ties, and those little inserts that come in cartons of fruit juice (little round things with a ring on them). Piper is very slim, athetic and active, but also a troublemaker, he often likes to try to bully the other two cats just to make trouble! He's funny-looking too, with a long nose, very round, deep-blue eyes, and huge ears. He always looks very surprised! My daughter calls him "Bat-rat-cat" because his huge ears are always turning around like a bat's ears, to catch the smallest sound, his tail is long and skinny like a rat's, and he has "webs" of skin under his front legs that look like bat wings. We adopted him as a retired show cat, from a breeder. He's a lovely cat and did extremely well at the shows, however, when she tried to breed him, he had no idea what to do with the ladies! All he wanted to do is play. So, the breeder reluctantly decided to get him fixed and offer him for adoption. He's 4 years old now, but still thinks and acts like a kitten. His name Piper comes from the fact that he has an extremely tiny, high-pitched voice. He "pipes up" mainly when he smells his favourite foods, or wants you to throw his latest little plastic toy for him. My third cat is the Maitre d' of the cat society in our house. His name is Jinx and he's a big, sturdy tuxedo cat. He's got a square face (my daughter sometimes calls him "TV-Head", and a funny splotch on the side of his nose that looks exactly like a splash of black paint. He's got the usual white chest, muzzle, four paws, belly and tail tip - but the tail tip is just the tiniest spot of white on the end, it looks like it was barely dipped in white paint. He's also the only cat I've ever seen (or my vet has ever seen) who has a black spot in the middle of his pink tongue, as well as a black patch on his lower lip, and a black spot in the middle of the roof of his mouth (which is also pink). He has a peculiar coat - not long, not fluffy, but very dense and thick, like the coat of a bear. It stands straight out from his body, and he has very heavy furry "jowls". His tail looks fat and stubby because the hair is so dense, even though its length is normal. Jinx does not like to be picked up, though he's affectionate and will come up to head butt and purr loudly. Yet, when my daughter was a toddler, she used to dress him up in her doll clothes, lay him on his back and push him around in the doll stroller, and he'd lie still and tolerate it. But, when I try to clip his claws or pick him up for any other reason, he yowls as if he were being murdered! Jinx likes water as well, and in fact we can't put down a regular water dish for them (it has to have a "lip" facing inwards around the rim) because he splashes in it with his paws. He often climbs up on the toilet so he can reach in and splash there too. His favourite places to sleep are inside the round bathroom sink (even if the tap is dripping, and for that he has the nickname "Sinx") and on top of crackly plastic grocery bags. He makes a little "nest" for himself out of those.
