My cats have a lap

I have 2 wonderful cats who could only lay on me if I was reclining. Now, at 120 pounds down, they both can curl up in my lap. Wow, it is weird to have a lap. It is very cute though. As soon as I sit down, they jump into my lap in seconds!!!! They approve of my weight loss!!!

Cute and cuddly! Hope you are enjoying them (cats) and your very hard work as well! I was born and raised in Chicago, and still have family there. Last time I visited was in Dec. 1999 Although I miss my old friends and neighborhood and the cold weather I don't think I'll be moving back any time soon. What part of the city r u from? Johanna

Congratulations on your weight loss! Way to go!!! My cats don't have much of a lap yet, because I'm pre-op. When I'm sitting watching TV, only about a third of my thighs and my knees are available for them to sit on. My cats are both Siamese and these guys are very resourceful when they want something badly enough! It's funny how they improvise with the limited space they have, and lucky they are skinny! Each one sits perched on the end of one of my knees, in that sort of bun shape cats do (normally with the front paws neatly tucked under the chest) except they sort of drape their bodies over my knees, so that they're "cuddling" the knee between their front paws. It's sort of like a 'vertical curl' around my knee. This way they can watch TV with me as well. It's nice to have them sitting there, since I have arthritis in my knees and the warmth feels good. I'm sure they will be very happy once my weight comes off and they have more lap to share. Sometimes they do squabble over who gets to sit on which knee.

congratulations!!! i can't wait to have a lap for my babies to curl up in im going to talk to my pcp in dec and will decide if im going to have wls im all for it lets see what he thinks. niki
