My 5 month old kitten attacks my hands and feet, especially when I'm alseep and it hurts. I know he just think he's playing because when he was a small kitten I played with him alot with my hands and feet, it is NO lomger cute it hurts. He bites the heck out of me and my husband. I tried spraying him with water but he does'nt seem to mind. We love him dearly and don't know what to do. We would never consider giving him up so thats out of the quetion. I know I caused this problem but he's getting so big so fast and we don't know what to do. Cheri

Try playing only with toys that are on ropes or safe strings. Don't ever play using your hands. When he gets too rough then ignore him as a time out. He thinks that you are a playmate and finding things that he can attribute as a playmate that are appropriate will help. Also if he is not neutered yet neutering will help. Another suggestion is to use the Feliway diffusers throughout your house. These emit a natural calming pheromone that are wonderful for inappropriate behaviors..they have helped me with scratching and aggression between my kitties in a five kitty household. Best of luck....you will be fine. Kirsten

I had wondered if Feliway works. I have wanted to try it, but it's so expensive. We have 3 cats and have now added a 130 lb rottweiler. He does well with the cats and having frequent brief visits to the house for a few weeks before he moved in helped a lot. Still, the cats could probably use some additional stress relief. Caryl

If sprayign with water doesn't work, try picking him up and bopping him on the nose (not too hard). Kitties have sensitive noses. Or you could get him a playmate, so he'd bug you less

Believe it or not he has almost stopped. The only time he really wants to (PLAY) is first thing in the morning. So now I play with him with this little bell and some line with feathers. He loves it. Does anybodys cat follow them around the house? My cat won't leave my side, no matter where I go he's there, even the bathroom. It's kind of cool he's like a dog. cheri
