Try playing only with toys that are on ropes or safe strings. Don't ever play using your hands. When he gets too rough then ignore him as a time out. He thinks that you are a playmate and finding things that he can attribute as a playmate that are appropriate will help. Also if he is not neutered yet neutering will help. Another suggestion is to use the Feliway diffusers throughout your house. These emit a natural calming pheromone that are wonderful for inappropriate behaviors..they have helped me with scratching and aggression between my kitties in a five kitty household. Thanks I am still looking and plan on keeping the babys,just letting the person have first pick of litter for the use of there male.I understab=nd what the other lady said but these babys already have a loving home and would all be fix also when old enough same with mom.I will keep you posted and please do the same with me! I thought at one time I found a cats messageboard on here but I can't find it now. Anyone know where its at? I am looking for a male cat, preferably not neutered, 1 yr old or older. He will be keep inside. I have looked at the pound here in Etown and haven't had any luck with finding what I want. U might be wondering why I want a cat who's not neutered, well its because I am going to breed my white calico. I want a male whose either, orange, orange and white, white, or black and white. I plan on keeping all the kittens, getting them fixed and vaccinated. I love my cat and have been wanting to breed her for a while. I love and care for animals as a living. I am currently a certified Veterinary Technician and have been for 15 years. I currently work in an animal hospital but gave 5 years of my life to a shelter. I would like for everyone that is considering breeding an animal to reconsider. There are countless homeless animals that need homes and never get one. There are countless shelter workers that are forced to euthanize these animals every single day due to ignorance, greed, lack of resources, and selfishness. Please lets take responsibility for the gifts that god has given us before we bring more into this world. This month is spay and neuter month for most Veterinary hospitals and they usually deeply discount these proceedures.
