Also, has black stuff that is caked under his chin--- I think it could be due to fleas? But I did the Advantage and the fleas are gone--- so I thought!??!! Do you know what it is?? I scrap it off and it itches him too-- and then it comes back!!!!!!!!! Also, his breath is sooo bad-- he does have some red gums as some of my other cats but not this HORRIBLE BREATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the same question before my surgery just 7 days ago, 1 of my babies loves sleeping on my belly, but since I came home he just lies next to me and does not try to get on me. I really think that they can sense something is not right

My Diva Kitty is a belly sleeper - on my belly. How can I train her not to before my surgery date? Someone mentioned something about putting a pillow on my stomach. She will just try to get on the pillow. She also occasionally has the habit of jumping onto me from the top of the sofa & I know I can't handle that.

I adopted an obese cat. I call it saving her from those folks who were trying to kill her with food. I got her down from 18 lbs to 13 by feeding her IAMS Weight Management. Pass this on to your husband: Fat cats are not more limber. Poor Bernice has arthritis in her hips from the stress of the weight. Fat cats are not more cuddly. They don't like being held or snuggled because it is painful for them. Fat cats will require more expense because of frequent trips to the vet Fat cats cause damage to furniture. Poor Bernice had to drag herself up on my bed if I wasn't quick enough to lift her. Ask him flat out if he is trying to kill the cat. That is what will happen if the kitty is overfed. It is a form of animal cruelty. If he wants a large cat then tell him to buy a Maine Coon Cat. They get to be very large and fluffy.

Topic: RE: Any Maine Coon Owners Out There????
Hi Laura! I have one Maine Coon. His name is Zazu and he is the baby in the family. I also have two tabbys. Their names are Diggy (who is 3 years old, grey with white), and Tiger (who is 2 years old). Zazu is just one year old. We adopted him from the local animal control and he was so straggly and skinny I didn't really believe he was a Maine Coon. Right now, I think he is the most beautiful of my babies. He is so sweet-natured. He wakes me in the morning so I will come sit with him while he eats his breakfast. He doesn't like to eat alone-its so cute! He also is always trying to groom his brothers who aren't really thrilled about all the t.l.c. so he's always getting in trouble with them and then he comes running to me with a look on his face like "why don't they like me?" He is just so precious!

Wow, they sound cute! I can't believe Kitty Girl was having babies at age 13. What a tough Girl she must be! Your kitties will be so happy when you come home that they will forgive you immediately. Good luck with your surgery.
