Topic: RE: Putting Belle to Sleep
Had three different professional opinions... all three said the same. Belle had squamous cell carcinoma in her mouth. Inoperable.
God, I miss my little girl. She laid down her little head into my hand and breathed her last. That damned cancer won't hurt her now.

Topic: Putting Belle to Sleep
Belle's cancer is back. It is inoperable. I'm taking her to the vet tonight and she will be put to sleep. Right now, she is sitting beside my keyboard and purring her little heart out and loving me up. Almost as if she knows and wants to keep on cuddling until the end.
I'll miss her so much.

Topic: RE: Want a Cat profile
Hi Marla,
First off I just want to say that "Marla" is my littlest sisters name. She is almost 8 years old. So I love the name. She is a sweetheart.
Now on to the subject of a cat profile. I had OH make me a beautiful one with kitties. Go take a look. I think they did a good job.

Topic: Gonna miss my babies...
My surgery is next Wednesday, August 11th. I am so excited. Then...I am not so excited. I won't be able to see my babies for the whole time I am in the hospital...which my doctor says will be at least 4 days.
I have six wonderful babies. Kitty Girl is my "momma cat". She is about 15 years old. She is black with a white mustache, white under her chin and white feet/paws. She is the momma to my other kitties. But not to worry...she has been fixed along with the rest of my babies.
I have Tiger and Missy....they are two and 1/2 years old. Then I have Toby and Tippy. They are one and 1/2 years old.
My babies are so spoiled. I will miss them so terribly. I hope they forgive me for being away so long. I'll have to give them each a kiss before I leave for surgery.
The good thing is my grandmother...who I live with and who raised me...will be home to take care of them for me.
I wish I could take my babies with me.

Topic: Any Maine Coon Owners Out There????
I currently have two. Stone (or "beast" is what everyone usually calls him) is 2 yrs old and is a silver/'grey stone color and weighs about 13 pounds. Pebbles is a year old and looks like a bunch of different colored stones put together, hence the name "Pebbles". My oroginal Maine coon "Ruffles" passed away two years ago.
She hung around for 13 years. Anyway, would like to know about your Maine Coons and there beautiful personalities.

Topic: RE: Inappropriate Elimination
That's the funniest thing ever!! Cats sure are a good judge of character.
Boady now prefers a scoopable litter with Cedar in it. She had used chrystals prior to that. Now won't go near them. I finally removed the first litterbox and have had no further issues.

Topic: RE: Are Orange cats USUALLY males?
I have not heard before that Ginger cats are usually male. My parents have a female orange cat. That is interesting.
Topic: RE: Inappropriate Elimination
My cat does the same thing... right next to the litter box... occasionally. I finally figured out she did not like the covered litter box, and only likes tidy cats with crystals.
I also figured out she did not like my ex boyfriend once. While he was here, she dragged his wallet and put it in the litter box! I do have to say she was right!
It is good to know that any affection she shows is genuine! No fooling around with that kitty!
Topic: RE: kitty debate!
I have one of those big, beautiful, fat cats. I adpoted him almost 4 years ago from the vet clinic that I worked out. He had been there for almost 3 years. Anyway, he was big like that when I took him home. He has been diabetic for 7 years now and I give him insulin injections twice a day. It is also very hard to regulate a cat with diabetes, so you will have to take the cat in often for bloodwork to make sure that the insulin dosage is correct. Now from being over weight so long, he has MAJOR arthiritis in hos rear legs and can't get around as well as he used to. And he has developed a grade 4 heart murmer out of 6 and I have to take him several hours out of the way for special testing on his heart. What I am trying to say is that although cats may look beautiful when they are big it is not in their best health interest to allow them to be. It decreased their life span and also makes them less able to be like a cat and run and jump on things. I have 3 other cats that are normal weight and they are nearing 8 years old now and no one believes me when they see them. They look beautiful and act like kittens still.

I don't even have top call mine. Two are waiting at the door when they hear my car. The other waits in my room to greet me when I enter.
I have 2 calicos and a van.
