Topic: PET STROLLER - My new exercise buddy! ;-)
. . I bought a Pet Stroller online, figuring it would help me with my exercise - and I thought the cats would find it nice to get outside! I have three cats, and figure I can take them for walks after work. I brought the stroller home this afternoon, and Junior hopped right in it! He was my first test subject! We didn't travel very far, because it was only 60 degrees and kind of windy. He wasn't crazy about the wind gusts, so we only went about 1/2 block and turned around and came home. Except for the wind gusts, he really seemed to enjoy being outside. As the weather gets nicer, I'll take the other two out as well. There are photos on my website at www.geocities.com/thedawnofanewdayna I found the Pet Stroller at PetStreetMall.com for $84.99 - no tax and free shipping! It was easy to assemble, and even has cupholders for my water bottle, and even has a storage space below! Not sure what I'd put there (no need for a diaper bag, bottle, etc, lol) I researched several sites carrying this stroller, and this was the best deal I could find. I ordered it March 31st and it came today, with standard FREE shipping! I'm sure going to have fun with my boys this summer! Dayna

Project Patty!!!! Original Post by Loraine May at 9:11 AM EST on 02/23/2006 Byesville, OH - RNY (05/06/2005) - Dean J. Mikami, M.D. I want to thank all of you who have requested my address to send clothes and personal care items for my dear friend Patty and her brother Leonard. They have no idea the suprises ahead of them. Since we had the holiday this week and mail is moving a little slow we are delaying the Ambush Makeover/Cleaning team move in until Next Saturday. We have more people available and this will give me more time to gather donations. I am working on a large wheelchair now, and some volunteers to make a ramp. I want her to be able to get out of the house and get some sunshine this summer and not be stuck in a hot apartment and have some fresh air.. Again, Thank you for the compassion you have shown for my friend and her brother. Your kindness will come back to you many times over. Again we are in need of size 6 x Womens clothing and underwear, socks and personal grooming aids. ( baby wipes, facial cleansing clothes, deoderant, toothpaste etc) And for Leonard Size 55 jeans, belts, Tighty whitey size 54, 3 x White t shirts, and 3 x shirts and socks. Also Gently used bath towels, wash clothes, dish towels and rags.. If you have none of these items and still would like to help in some way I have a few ideas that can brighten her days. She LOVES country music. Especially Keith Urban, Conway Twitty, Rascal Flatts, Bluegrass and pretty much anything country. If you would have the ability to burn cd's that would be a great idea.. And she loves to read, so any leftover magazines, paperback novels etc would be wonderful. Cards of encouragement are most welcome as well. I would love to be able to hand her a stack of cards from people all over the country that let her know that there is a whole community of people who have been where she is, and we are here to help. If anyone is interested in being a pen pal with her please indicate that as well. I am just trying to think of any way possible that everyone can help in some small way to remind her that she is important and that there is a real world outside the living room.. I Love you all and thank you so very much for all the kindness you have shown to my dear sweet Patty. I have seen her several times this week and I am about ready to burst trying to keep this Big Secret and not spill the beans. Thank you again, Hugs from Laura in Ohio Contact me for mailing address for clothing etc.. This site powered by ObesityHelp

Topic: Bluebird Houses/Cats
I put up 2 bluebird houses last year and my cat "Sis" loves them! She thinks they were put up just for her and her tummy! She's killed two of the bluebirds and eaten some eggs too! Well, this year the birds have started making nests in the houses again. What would you suggest to put around them to stop her from getting to them. One house is on a swing frame and the other house is on our little garage/vehicle shelter thingy. Here is pictures of what they look like. I had thought of putting the tack things that you put your carpet down with along the top of the swing. You can see from the picture where she jumps up there. http://www.photobucket.com/albums/y191/sjjlyles/Bird%20houses/ Let me know!

Topic: In Memory of Mr Oreo
A week ago Friday our indoor only kitty escaped when a friend came in the door. We searched and searched, put ads up on poles, posted ads in the paper with no luck. But we figured he might have gotten out to look for a lady friend. Tonight we spotted him along the highway and he had been ran over and killed. It was so sad to have such a beautiful sweet lovely animal's life ended like this. My daughter Andrea ( his human mommy) is devastated and needs lots of love and support. If you could take a minute and write her or send her an e greeting letting her know what she is going through I think it would really touch her heart. Thank you so much, Laura Andrea xxsweeta*****[email protected]

Topic: New pics of my babys
I have never posted here before, but I thought I would today as I have new pics of my "kids" up, Princess ***** and Baby Cakes AKA Princess and Baby. Princess is definately that, you don't touch her unless she wants it, no holding unless she climbs up on you and don't take her picture. baby, on the other hand, just the opposite, hold her, pick her up, rough-house with her, take her picture - she loves it. But they are like sisters, and love each other very much, they definately compliment one another. Topic: Need Roomie for Hawaiian Cruise !!
. . Hi Everyone! I am looking for a roommate for the OH Hawaiian Cruise November 5-12. At the top of the main Obesity Help message board, there's a whole thread about the Hawaiian Cruise. An information packet on the cruise can be found here: danthetravelman.com/obesity-help-travel/ObesityHelp-Hawaii-Welcome-Packet-2006.pdf I found the Norwegian Cruise Lines site very helpful, as since it gives information about the ship, the shore excursions and tons of other things! I checked out Norwegian Cruise Lines' website, and here's a website about "our" ship - the Pride of Aloha: ncl.com/fleet/pal That will give you an idea of what the ship is like, AND at what a GREAT Deal that Dan and the people at OH are giving us!!!! MUCH lower than the prices listed on the NCL site!! It also has a sample list of shore excursions for all the stops the ship makes -- wow, I can't wait, and I am so very glad I booked the $899 inside cabin, so I can spend the rest of the money on the shore excursions!!! I was thinking of getting an oceanview w/balcony room, but heck - I won't be in the room that much, and I'd rather spend that extra $700-$800 on the shore excursions!!!! This is going to be a WONDERFUL trip!! I took my Dad to Hawaii in 2002 -- he was a WWII Veteran, and lost his best friend on the Arizona. He always wanted to visit the Arizona Memorial, but my Mother would never fly over the ocean. So, after she passed in 2001, I booked a trip to take him to Hawaii for 10 days! We had a WONDERFUL time, and I still treasure those memories of my time spent there with him. He passed away May 5, 2005, just a month after my surgery. I sure wish he could see me now, down 120 pounds. I know he'd be proud. Dayna My NOLA Website: geocities.com/nola_rescue My Weight Loss Journey site: geocities.com/thedawnofanewdayna ============================================ Here's a snippet of information from the thread in on the main OH Message Board, posted by Monica.
