Thanks Elizabeth. I guess you could call me that but a lot of it is my love for my cats. Of course, they are also willing participants too. I also like to take existing pictures of animals and make them into something artistic...like water color or oil painting.

OH Daniel, I hope I've written you in time!! Please wait until at least the kitten is 6 weeks old. I PROMISE it will bond with you big time!! Also it would be best for it to be the weekend so you can spend 2 good days when it is away from it's mother. It is VERY important that you let that kitten stay with it's mother. The reasons are numberous and if you'd like to know them, I can tell you. If you take the kitten from it's mother and it doesn't work out, that means it will die. I have raised a kitten like that and it takes feeding it every two hours with special milk and you also have to do things to help it go to the bathroom.
The kitten will use the litter box totally out of instinct. No training is necessary but there are kits out there that supposedly teach a cat to use the toilet. Personally I have one of those automatic litter boxes and love it!! I so hope I've gotten to you in time. Please let me know!! OK?

Hi I have two cats one named Pumpkin he's white & Orange he is demanding he eats only Dental Diet food and must have whole junks so he whines daily for you to put more in his dish even though it's full of pieces. He only drinks water from the bathtub also Need to figure out how he can turn it on. And when he's mad he poops on the floor or your bed - sometimes right in front of you! He doesnt like to be held either and does the head butting and paws at you to pet him. Funny I bought him because I had $50.00 dollars from graduating from college and looked and looked for clothes and went in the pet store and bought him instead.
My other is Simba she is Buff color with tiger eyes and is a giant baby. My daughter carries her around like a baby all the time has even dressed her. I don't ever really see her eat but she must. She likes to drink water from a bowl in bathroom upstairs. She has been peeing in the corner of my living room checked with vet yesterday and he recommended we get rid of clumping litter and change it daily and put a citirus room freshner in the corner where she pees.
People hear the pee and poop and say get rid of them! But how can you they are children they pee and poop too! Lisa

Topic: Need advice on nursing a young kitten
Up until last year I had five cats. The two oldest were born in my house and I picked them up when they were just a couple hours old! So they have been extremely close to me. Well the one died last year at 14 years. I tried so hard to save his life but his liver gave out with hardly any warning. His sister is now 14.5 years old. She is'nt well ether. The remaining three cats are 10 years old and the sisters are 8. Anyway, I love them but the feeling of closeness (bonding) in't the same with them. (The 14.5 year old is my twin- she'd live under my skin if she could! She was born here). I am going to get another kitty and it was born on March 7th. I've been dropping by every couple days to pick it up and get it used to me. They live here in town. But I'm wondering if I can take it from it's mommie and get a bottle and nurse it here at home? Is it safe physically or emotionally for it? What do I need to know? If it doe'snt work out I can always take it bac****il it's weanned so that won't be a problem. But I'd love to wean it myself. But I want the closeness that I've enjoyed so much with my elder cats. I have time to nurse it and take care of it's needs as I'm home most of the time. But I don't want to endanger it ether. Do any of you have any experience like this?
Also, does anyone have any experience teaching a kitten to use the toliet instead of a litter box? I knew an old guy (long gone now) who trained his cat to do that. I'd like to know how.
Thanks.
Daniel

I hear ya when you say they loved you just as much when you were fat! I have nine babies, and I feel the same way. Its called unconditional love. No matter what, they love you just the same. I talk to my "kids" all of the time. I love them so much, and think that I love them more than I like some people!!!

I have 9 cats. I will share some things with you I think you may get a chuckle out of... One of my cats is obsessed with her tail. She chases it all of the time. I have another one, who when I give them treats, he will not eat it if it hits the floor. He has to catch it in either his mouth or paws, or he will not touch it. He also likes to be held like a baby,upside- down in my arms. After surgery this was hard because he is almost 20 lbs.!!! I can't leave the toilet lid open because he plays in the water. My white ca****ches T.V. and tries to whack things when he sees them moving. Especially words moving across the bottom of the screen...sometimes I put that channel on just so he can play. He also chews anything wicker or wood, which I need to put a stop to! (Any suggestions??) Ok, another one drinks running water out of the tap. When I got her she was abandoned and pregnant. I kept 2 of her babies, and they do the same thing. When she was pregnant, she would only poop in the bathtub. After she had the babies, she started going in the litter box, thank goodness!! Two of my cats jump up on the arm of the chair and head-butt me. They are the only 2 that don't like to be held, and I am guessing this is their way of saying I love you even though you can't hold me mommy!!!
Well, I am sure there are more, and if they do anything else funny or if I remember anything else I will write again! In the meantime, keep us informed about yours!! As I write this, I have one on my shoulder... They are so spoiled!!!

Topic: To all of the kitty lovers...I have 9!!!
Hi! I am 8 weeks out. I have lost about 60 lbs, and am feeling great. I have nine babies... Cinderella (Cindy), Mischief (Missy), Toby, Jasmine, Molly, Gypsy, Seymour, Snickers, and Bailey. They have been so great with me after my surgery. It took them a while to figure out that at first they couldn't sleep on my tummy anymore, but I slept with a big pillow on my belly to stop them from jumping on it. After a few days, if they thought about it, all I had to say was no and they didn't jump on me. They have helped me out so much in my recovery. They make me laugh, and they snuggle me and ya know what the best part is? They don't care at all how I look. They loved me before, and they love me now. I don't know what I would do without them. (My sisters were not very happy, though, because they had to come over for 2 weeks after my surgery and scoopy the poopy!!)
And how did I end up with so many? A couple of them I rescued from abusive people, some were abandoned, and one was a baby laying on the side of the road next to her dead mother. That was really sad. In that same area, I have found numerous dead kittens who have been hit by cars. I have tried catching them, while they were alive, and even called the Humane Society about them, but nothing.
Anyway, I love my babies (spoiled rotten) and I just love people who have cats and know what wonderful and special animals they are. Nine is my limit, but I do continue to place abandoned and/or abused cats in loving homes whenever I can.

Hi there! I am 8 weeks out. I know the feeling of cats on the tummy! I have 9 cats, and they were so confused when they couldn't lay on me for a while. For the first couple of weeks, I could only sleep on my back, but I slept with a big pillow on my belly to deter them from sleeping on me. Now that I am healing great and feeling better, they can lay on me again. I am smaller now, and can't fit as many on me anymore though! Sometimes though, I do have an "off" day, and I can't let any of them on me. They seem to understand...it's really weird!
