Rebecca,
Oh I think I am in love with Chester. My Maxwell was a mostly white with grey markings polydacatyl who was the kitty love of my life. Are his paws nice and floppy??

I too hold entire conversations with my cats.
I probably look like some escapee from an insane asylum talking to my boys like they're babies.
My polydactyl, Duffy, also reminds us when it's time for bed. His brother, Gary, runs in screaming as soon as he hears the alarm in the morning.
We've got one sending us to bed and one making sure we get up!

Aww! I would love to get more kitties but my husband would divorce me!
Does your polydactyl have a larger frame than your other cats? I've read that they are larger and my polydactyl is definitely bigger than his brother.
How's the weather in Louisiana? It's actually 64 degrees up here today and sunny. I hope Spring is finally here!!!

I also love talking with more kitty lovers. I have 10 neutered boys who live inside. They are all lovers, who curl up in this big ball and nap together. They range in age from 1 year to 16 yrs. old. Most are short haired tabbies- Major, Baby Dumplins, Boba Fete, Chewy, Mr. SquirrelyButt. Two are medium haired- one black (Mako Fluff) and one white (Cracker Barrel Bob). I have a grey and white named Chester who is a polydactyl. I have an orange tabby manx who is diabetic- Woo Bear. And my second manx has siamese mix markings. His name is Chun Lee and he is BAD. I am a full time teacher but I have worked for a vet part time since college. I have to- I need my discount!

Hi Lauri,
Cant rightly say how the cat box was, because thats my roommates job since I have asthma, but I can say bending after surgery was slightly painful in the beginning and I had lap rather than open.
If you do not have anyone to change the cat box for you, you might want to possibly get one of the electric littermaids (which we had and was pretty good before it burned out after a few years) or putting the cat box on some table or stand so it is easy to reach. Since our house was built in 1906 after the San Francisco earthquake, it has like no closets where we could hide the cat box. So we have it under a table in the hall which is about a foot wide and 5 feet long. Something like that would be perfect to put a catbox on top of so the cats could get to it cause one thing you dont want to do is strain or pull something right out of surgery.

Hi Dulci!
I never was a cat person but Molly has changed that forever! Aren't they amazing little creatures? I got Molly at a pet adoption fair at the local pet store and I think she just might be a bit siamese, if you please.
Question: How did it work with cleaning the litter box post op? Did you have any trouble with the bending?
Thanks and congrats on being a postie!

Topic: 3 Kitties
Hi there!
I have three wonderful kitties! The boy is Menyach. He is a 9 year old maine coon, which means he is big and fluffy and such a sweet heart. The oldest is Leibanzoft, who is kind of crazy, she is my roommates cat and is 16 but still as agile and hyper as when she was a kitten. The last is Trinity, who is 3 and was a stray kitten we found at about 5 weeks old out in the construction site near us. She is still a timid little thing when you first meet her, and then warms up to be such a needy loving cat. Her favorite thing in the whole wide world is my heating pad. This cat is such a heat-seaker that it is scary some times. I will be using the heating pad for my back and actually roll over to position it better, and she will have situated herself on it by the time I turn around. Crazy cat. But I love them all!

Topic: RE: Persians
Hi Gina,
I had a Maine Coon for a while. She was Beautiful but deaf. She was solid white and had one blue eye and one grean eye. Her Daddy was a champion in 1999 and he weighed 21 pounds. She was 12 pounds at 8 months old. I had to sell her to a friend because I was expecting a new baby and with her being deaf she was a little wild. I miss her very much. I would love to have another one. Now I have a Persian. My first Persian died to a very freak accident but this one is as wonderful as the first. They have a totally different personality. The first one was a lap cat but Mr. Biscuit only likes to be loved on when HE WANTS IT. So finicky! The hair always has to be brushed more than my Coon did. I hope you find one I'll keep a look out for you. I got mine from Betty in Luttrell TN. Email me and I will give you her email address. Good luck.
