I don't have a Siamese cat, but I thought I would just say Hi and tell you about my baby. I got my kitty from a friend, he's name is Bugeye. He is almost 7 months old and is very spoiled! Welcome to this site, and hope you find other Siamese cat lovers!

My baby kitty is named Bug-eye, he is all black and is so spoiled that he has his own basket to sleep in, a basket for his toys which he likes to tip over and take all out. He likes to scatter them all over the living room floor, just like a kid would with their toys. He likes to lay in the kitchen when I'm cooking or cleaning, just to be near me. If I go to the room and close the door, he will cry at the door until I let him in, and when he does come in, he's grumbling and gives me the look. LOL, he is my baby and I so love him. He won't be scared, he will know you by your scent and voice. Kitties have great senses~

Thank you for sharing such a close thing to your heart. I too have a kitty, he's name is Bugeye. I got him at 8 weeks and he has become a very important baby in my life. He is all black and really a loving baby. He loves it when company comes over because he knows that he will get special attention from my friends who are all animal lovers themselves. The only difference is that all my friends have dogs, I'm the only one with a kitty. When I first got him, my friends threw me a Kitty Shower, and he got lots of toys and goodies. People that found out afterwards thought we were crazy to do that, but why not have a celebration for our 4 legged babies! Willamena sounds like she might be missing Maxwell and probably doesn't understand why he is no longer there. I talk to my baby, maybe talking to her about what you are feeling will help her understand. She probably senses your feelings of sadness. Well, thank you for introducing me to your babies...Have a blessed day~

Topic: My Furchildren
Hi, this week is one year since my all time favorite cat, Maxwell had to be put to sleep due to oral cancer. I miss him terribly, and lost another to a stroke in May. Maxwell was a beautiful white and grey pattern polydactyl kitty and was the kitty love of my life. He was about 15 years old, he was a stray that my husband had since about 1991. The other one, Samantha was a beautiful stripy, she was 19 years old and actually belonged to my husband, he had her since she was about 8 weeks old. Both of these kitties lived very long full and happy lives but although that makes me happy in one way it does not make it any easier to lose them. Maxwell loved me best, and spent every night curled up around my arm with his chin in my hand for pets. He yelled at me when it was time to go to bed. Came running when I got home from work. And responded immediately if I asked, "where is my kitty?" We have three kitties left: Smokey the Cat, a large grey with a white spot under his chin, he is the largest but also the baby, he is about 9 years old. He is a very cat like fellow, who has spent the last months sleeping under the Christmas tree, we haven't taken it down because I feel bad about taking his spot away from him. We also have Mr. Spock, a very sweet delicate looking grey stripy with the softest fur I have ever touched. He is very even tempered and sweet, but beware on the rare occasions that he gets upset he turns into a fierce grizzly bear, he sits up on his back legs and pulls out these razor claws shredding anyone in his way. Mr. Spock is about 13 years old. And we have Willamena. Willamena is a bit strange, she is rather oblivious to the rest of the world, spending hours sitting and watching blank walls like there is a movie being shown. I would never let anything happen to her, she is one of our children, but if she found someone she just loved and wanted to go home with, who would take good care of her, I would let her go. She just has never seemed to care too much for either my husband or myself, but then that may be because she hasn't noticed yet that she lives with us. Willamena is about 11 years old. I guess because I am still hurting about losing Maxwell and just feel like talking about him this week I decided to introduce you all to my furchildren.

Nope, he'll know it's you just by your smell. That's the best part...how much they love you no matter what.

There are many many families with cats and children. Cats do not understand that their claws have been removed and bite instead. If a cat bites, it would already be doing that. Most cats are unbelievably aware of children and know when they are being teased or their tail being pulled and will just walk away. There are so many myths about cats and babies that are also untrue. I wish you luck with your search for adoption (that is very kind of you) but I am a real believer that when you take on the responsibility of owning a pet that you stick by your decision. You can have the best of both worlds!

I love my cat he is such a hoot. His name is Jorge' Juleo and he is very smart. When he comes in from outside he say "mama' and if he is wet from the rain or can't find me he yowls "MAMA" He loves me alot. I hope he doesn't get scared when I start losing weight.

I just wonder how she would act with a little one chasing her. Her front claws are off which they say makes the more defensive and more likely to bite. There is a posibility though the child may be 5-7 in which case it would be ok to have them both

Yep, I talk to them and they talk to me. OK, I have a question and don't want to seem too forward but why would you have to lose your cat if you adopt?
