Way to go. I'm from Spring Lake NC. I had my surgery on 3-18-03. I bet it is great to be under 200 lbs. I was the exact same weight when I had my surgery. I have only lost 30 lbs., but I went from a 26-28 to a 18-20 (current size). I work out about 3-4 times a week so even though I have only had the small weight loss, I must say that is more than I have ever lost in less than 45 day my whole live. So I continue to stive to keep it up. You can do it I know you can. So please keep me posted on your progress.

Hi Debbie, Im guessing you are going for the RNY? I am here in Wilmington NC.I was not covered by insurance as it turned out.I ended up getting the DS in Spain with DR Baltasar.I was self pay. there are actually 4 of us total in Wilmington who have been to Spain for the DS.One Girl is a year and a half out and has lost all her weight looks fabulous. then there are 2 men who went in March.one has already lost 40 pounds , the other 50 pounds. we have little get togethers once in a while. last weekend we had a visitor From the baltasar group in NJ come down so we met for lunch on Saturday and had a great time finding out how we are all doing. We also Have a girl who is going to Spain in October for her surgery, then we have another who went to Elairainy in Northern Virginia,so we have a pretty good DS group in town.Let me know if you are interested in learning more.Im sure you would be welcome at one of our get togethers no mater which opperation you have. Laura IN NC [email protected] DS Spain 5/27/0 BMI 39 265 lbs. -75 pounds now 185 lbs, Goal 160 Very Happy and I expect to reach my goal.

Cardinals and bluejays, I'd have to say. Although common, they're as beautiful as any tropical exotic bird, and yet here they are in our yards every day for us to enjoy!

Excellent Birds!!! They're two of my favorites as well!!! And you're right...although common...when you "really look" at them their beauty is quite amazing!!! We should never take them for granted. Nice to hear from a fellow birder!!! Have a great day Karen! Stay in touch... Doug...
