Pekingese
Jennifer,
I have a pekingese named beefy. She is a black & tan. She rules our roost for sure. I saw the pic of your frankie w/his tongue sticking out. Beefy usually has hers sticking out just like that. We got her at the animal defense league and she has just been the most wonderful pet we could have hoped for. I had no idea how sweet pekes were.

Hi Jennifer,
I have a Pekinese too. Her name is Muffin, and she is 11 years old. Her tongue sticks out too, especially when she is sleeping. I also have a Pug.
His name is Otis, and he is 11 years old too. My mother gave me the Pekingese, and she is just the greatest gift I have ever received. So many people gripe about how snippy Pekes are...I just dont get it...She is a wonderful dog.
I must tell you, your Frankie is adorable. Especially in the Princess costume. My peke is white and creme...no black mask at all. I keep her hair cut short, she is just a mess when I let her hair grow. She looks like a little puppy when she first gets groomed.
I would have a house full of Pekes too, if I could. I was so glad to see a post out on the board about Pekes...thanks for posting...you made my day!!!

I have a Peke-a-Pom named Truman. He is 1 1/2 yrs old. He is mainly chesnut brown with a black face. He weighs in at a whopping 4 lbs! He rules the house and has a ton of attitude in such a small package. He has recenly started having seizures and the vet isn't too sure why. If he has anymore within the next week, we will be putting him on anti-seizure meds. I don't think I ever realized how much I cared about my dogs until that happened. It is very hard to speed to the vet when you are bawling your eyes out because something is wrong with your "baby". He hasn't had a seizure in 4 days, so we are hoping it was just a freak thing that happened. Has anyone else had a small dog that has seizures? Did they find out what caused them?
Thanks for listening.

I have a wonderful blonde pekingese (pecanese in the South!) she has a beautiful black face with crooked teeth. We have had her a year and she is our baby. Her name is Wendy Woo Tang and we got her from Animal Care and Control here in Jacksonville, FL (That's also the pound). She is smart as can be, cute to a T and very photogenic. There is a picture of here at the bottom of my obesity.com profile (Susan Grindle)page. We have found she knows many words, including Daddy, bath, go outside. She has brought such joy into our lives. I found her after our calico cat went missing, while checking the internet sites for Animal Control. I went and adopted her and she immediately stole our hearts. She has 2 cat sisters and 1 cat brother, all about the same size as she is. Wendy is truly like a child and I make it a point of telling my grown daughter that Wendy is her little sister! Susan
