Oh Yorkies are cute little monsters! I have a client with one that I walk every morning for her. He's a wonder! Twelve years old and you'd think he was two the way he acts. Valerie in Scottsdale

Topic: Aussie, 2 Greyhounds, and a Chihuahua
Hi all ! Well, I just found this dog message board. My goodness. Next I have to go to the cat board! We have four dogs, Scout the Australian Shepherd, Chippy the Greyhound, Roller the Greyhound, and Mojo the Chihuahua. And I have a small petsitting business - Val's Pals Petsitting (website: http://valspalspetsitting.com/ ) So I get to make my living caring for dogs, cats, and whatnot. This is so nice to know so many of us have dogs we love. Valerie in Scottsdale

I have two sets of sisters. One set we've had for eight years and the other set for one year. Yes training is difficult, we started a little ritual when we come home after work, etc., we go on a good girl check in all the areas they have access to, if all is well they get a treat, if not sorry. We have a fenced in back yard and a doggie door and that has helped a lot. Sometimes with my one year old Lucy, she has been a little slow in learning or is just stubborn, I haven't decided yet. How 'bout some of that barking.

Topic: RE: I LOVE MY PUG!
I love my pug also. He is the best thing in my life! He is my little lovey boy and my best friend, my defender, my snuggler. He never minds that I wake up in the morning fat and with ugly hair and bad breath. My little boy is 3 1/5 years old. Auggie Doggie. He is fawn colored with just the best temperment. Like me, he is a little on the "hefty side" (30 lbs). I am hoping to do more walking as I get some more energy and I will be taking him along with me because he loves to go with me. We will both start slow and work into this regime. I have had dogs when I was young, but I never really thought I was a dog person. When this little charmer came along, I fell truely and deeply in love and now there is no separation except when I work. My surgery date is set for March 31, 2005. I look forward to resting for a few days side by side with my little buddy. He is always there when I don't feel well. Marie

I have 2 beautiful chihuahua's. Princess Penelope Sky ( whick we call Penny) is are 14 mo old baby. She weighs about 3 lbs and Sir Kozmo Kramer (which we call Kozzie) is 9 mo old. He weighs 2 lbs. We are going to breed them. I can't wait to have one of their sweet babies. They are very lovable dogs. They are not mean at all like some people think all Chihuahua's are. Mine are not! I have some pictures of them on picture trail..My name on there is Sheekalala

Hi Sonya, We have a beautiful 9 month old cream colored dachshund. After getting her, we were told by may people (also checking on the internet) that they are one of the hardest to potty train. We kept here in the kitchen the first couple of months, watching her to make sure we caught the signals to let her out when she needed to go. Now she is very good about going out. Just pay attention to the signals. Hope this helps. Good luck. Mary

Hello, Yes is amazing how a little dog no bigger than a minute can hog the whole bed. We only let three of the five sleep with us. The boys think it is party time when its time to go to bed. So they get to go sleep in their houses. Yet on occasion they do get to sleep in the bed also. I have woke up hugging the bed and the three of them stretched right out. It is hard to share love with all 5 of them. When I am at computer or elsewhere I make it just their time only with mama. Yes they are quite jealous of one another...Try breeding Lexie and keep one of the pups. That is what i did but I kept all three of them. lol

Topic: RE: am i a nut??? lol
I vote that you are not a nut! LOL If you are - then I am one also! I have two dogs, a Boxer and a Boston Terrier... and they are my children! DH and I even say - well - gotta go home and let the kids out... The Boxer has helped me soo much with my depression - he is very very sensitive... heaven forbid if I cry - he is right there with me.... And he knows to stay away from DH if he has had a bad day - he just knows what each of us needs.. we say that he is a child stuck in a dogs body... What personality! LOL We have even had those profesional pics taken of our "kids" too cute! Starr
