Topic: RE: DOLL COLLECTORS UNIT!!
I collect Sashas, American Girl, Ginnys and various others. They are play dolls because I am so afraid of breaking the china doll style. I like their sturdy construction...especially Sasha dolls...they're built to last..they can even stand on their heads :D Well..glad to know there are other doll collectors here

Topic: Need some help
Hello Everyone- My mother-in-law, who passed away in Feb '03 was an avid doll collector. She bought from the Danbury Mint and many of the different home shopping channels. My husband's family have all taken the dolls that were special to them, etc and the ones that are left they want to sell. Is there a website we can visit to see what these dolls are worth (most are still in boxes and have never been taken out). Before we sell, whether on Ebay or some other way, we are trying to figure out what all these dolls are worth. Any help is greatly appreciated. I do not know much about dolls or collectibles. Not my thing, but I'm trying to help my husband. Thanks! Kathy

Hi, there. I have a couple of cabbage patch kids...they aren't in the best shape anymore...what can I say...I got them when I was a kid and still thought dolls were for playing with. I collect mostly bisque and china dolls, but have a little bit of everything. I am the kind of person who will buy it if I like it...so I have quite a mixed up collection. I just bought a German Kewpie doll and a Japanese WWI cariacture doll this weekend. I love collecting the dolls, even though it is taking over the house. Nice to know there are other collectors out there! -Rebekah

Hi, there. I am an avid doll collector too...I've been collecting since I was a teen...I have about 85, maybe more, dolls. I primarily collect bisque dolls, but have several composite, cloth, wood, etc dolls. In fact, just this weekend I picked up a WWI Japanese cariacture doll and a German Kewpie doll. Nice to know there are others out there! -Rebekah

Hey!! I am a doll enthusiast - well, sort of. At one point, I thought i wanted to do rePaints & reRoots...I quickly figured out that I don't have the patience for that. Still, I LOVE the dolls but I found that I am obsessed with their clothes & doing their hair. Yes, I actually play with my dolls Well, most of them...I have 3 Heritage Dolls that I don't handle much. At any rate, I was so obsessed & tired of not finding the pieces that I wanted in the colors that I wanted...so I started making the clothes myself. You can check out Fashion Finery at www.yconda.com/EBAY Bookmark the page & check back often!!
