Well Sherri, Nice to meet another DSer ... I'm assuming that since you're "on staff" and not a Moderator that you work in the Irvine office.  If so that would make you a So Calif DSer ... and an automatic member of SCADS.   Okay, still assuming here ... So Cal / surgery in 2001 ... hmm - was Anthone/Crookes your surgeon? We'd like to invite you to our next gathering.  Most of us are USC patients of Anthone/Crookes, but the group also includes So Cal residents who went to Baltasar, Rabkins, Feng and Husted. Do you have a profile here on OH?  We'd like to be able to add you to our invite list for any upcoming gatherings. Laurie

We are going to pass your information onto Sherri.  She hasn't updated her profile in a little while, but here it is:  http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php ?N=Carver961843370 She does spend a lot of time in the Irvine office and heads up our events department presently.

Okay, so confusing ... It appeared Sherri posted as "OH staff", and when I respond with a personal message, now someone else (you) who is un-named is responding? I did go to Sherri's profile.  She surely needs to update it, as it last shows her weight at around 280, yet in the photo she looks much thinner.  This would give hope to those seeking revisions, as she mentioned her revision in her profile, but not her progress to date.  I would also urge her to double check her definitions and her profile text for accuracy; since she is a staffer, I think we would tend to hold her at a higher standard.  So, if you are not Sherri, then who are you?  Is there more than one person responding as "Obesity Help Staff"?  That could get confusing if our members assume they are "speaking" with one person and the OH Staff person has no idea what they are talking about because the previous conversation was with a different OH Staffer.   Laurie

It's not really her. It's a cut and paste of her profile so they can say "look, we have a DS person on staff".

Is Ms Carver able to talk for herself?  This is just a copy and paste of her profile info, yes?  Why dont you let her moderate the RNY board since we have RNYers moderating the DS.  That sems fair to me.  By the way, what percentage of your staff has had the lapband, rny, and ds?  Is she the only one on your staff that has had the DS?

You can view our staff page here: http://www.obesityhelp.com/content/meetourstaff.html Not all of our staff is currently listed, but will give you a good idea of who is on staff.  Having had surgery is not a requirement to have a job with ObesityHelp.  We are fortunate to have staff who have had many different surgeries.  Approximately half of our staff are post surgery.

Okay, here are the stats.  Out of 27 staff members listed on the Meet Our Staff page: 13   have had no WLS 9    have had the RNY 2   have had the Lap Band has had an unspecified WLS has had the DS I dont do math, so someone else can do the percentages.

Oh, forgot to add that going from 500 lbs to 170 lbs have given her a nice healthy PALLOR, really she must be the exception.  Wonder if she uses diapers or stinks?
