You're so right, Neely.  I would only have made it to first base if not for Diana and Larra. 

I believe that the DMHC made a horrible mistake in their decision on my case.  I have no idea what the reviewer was thinking.  Now I have to go under the knife again, and I'm not looking forward to it.  That's why I just want to get it done as soon as possible.  I am so ready for this!  

I should know more about the details of my surgery/surgeon in the next two weeks.

How are you doing?  I hope you're doing well.  We missed you yesterday at the SCADS BBQ!

Thank you, Taylor!  I'm still working on that "strong" thing!  This journey has taught me a lot about patience and tenacity.  And the whole experience has made me stronger.

BTW, you're doing great with your DS!  Congrats to you!

When will Kaiser just learn their lesson and stop all their dirty tricks?
I also "beat" Kaiser last week.  And I also had Diana and Larra's help with every step. (I just had fewer steps than you ). Will your surgeon be Cookes? 

I know, Judy.  Kaiser is just determined to fight this thing to the bitter end!  One day, I hope, Kaiser will be stopped.  Hopefully, they will get some surgeons trained and start providing the DS for their patients who need it. 

Diana and Larra are our DS angels! 

I believe that Crookes will be my surgeon.  I'll know more in the next 14 days, and I'll keep y'all posted!

I still need pinching!  It's hard to take it all in, and believe it, after so long.

Lori, I am sorry to hear about your suffering.  I know that the doctors will take good care of you, and you will get better.  I also believe that you don't have to risk becomming obese again to get better.  You've got a good plan going on right now to regain your health.  I love the idea of sending out emails to the top DS surgeons for their opinion.  These surgeons don't want you to be sick.  Hang in there, Lori.  We're all pulling for you!  You are such an inspiration to the whole DS community!

It's disgusting that Kaiser puts all these roadblocks in front of so many who want DS. The fact that you have to take a six month couse if simply infuriating and that you have to wait so long to get into it. In the end it's costing Kaiser so much more money because if you had been approved for DS in the beginning they would not have to pay for TWO surgeries. I so wish someone could take this insurance company to court. I pray that we never ever have this insurer. Sorry that you have had to wait so long to get your DS and it's been a long road for you, but your on your way now. All good thoughts and wishes being sent your way.
