How long after surgery before you can color your hair?

I had mine colored about 4 weeks after surgery, just a root touch up.

Color it before surgery and then just resume after surgery as you would normally.....that's what I did.

I have a fabulous hairdresser, and my hair always looks great (she says at the risk of being immodest....).  I'm a little over three months out and haven't  noticed any falling out yet.  My hair is really thick so perhaps it won't be so bad.  (crossing my fingers)

Have your nails and toes done before surgery too!  I woke up from surgery and the nurses were all complementing my nails.  LOL!

Go ahead and color your hair, I did. No problems. I did color mine right before surgery too.

I started about 6 weeks post-op, when I cut it all off.  Haven't stopped since!  It got pretty thin for a while, but that stopped at about 8 months out or so and now it's thicker than ever.
