New here...introducing myself
Welcome to the DS message board. The six months will go by quickly and give you time to read and absorb all the information you need to make your new life after the DS very easy. If you haven't already, you should read the entire site at DSHelp.com . It is a great place to find information. Good luck to you.
Hey Girl!!!
I'm so glad you introduced yourself to the group! I didn't really think about introducing myself, I just started with my fears and questions. But nevertheless I've felt very welcomed.
I'm not looking forward to my next visit to Dr Hill's office for my weigh in. Christmas and New Year parties have me concerned about not losing. The scale say's I haven't gained, but between the yummies of the holidays and the visit from "Aunt Flow" I just don't feel confident.
I hope our paths cross while in Saranac Lake, but if not I'm grateful for adding you to my list of friends on OH.

Hi and welcome. Faith looks like a little cutie too!
I didn't think I'd be able to sleep for my sleep studies, either. I've had a few of them and I've always been able to get to sleep. It's an odd thing, that's for sure. My pulmonary doc said that it would be okay to get a mild sleep pill if I was going to have a lot of problems - you'll have to talk with the doc and get a prescription ahead of time for you to take yourself. Most of those sleep centers don't have a nurse that works there and sleep techs aren't allowed to give meds - or at least haven't been. Who knows?
You'll do great. I had Cigna also and they're sticklers, but if you dot all their "i"s and cross all their "t"s they'll come through. The six month weight loss thing can be kind of specific. I gather a lot of this all depends on who is doing what in the insurance company itself. But the visits had to include vital signs, weight, and a note about what we'd discussed, including the plan, how I was coping with it and my compliance.
