Do big calves eventually go away?
I still have to get wide-calf boots. It really feels like I never lost the weight there at all. I'm three years out. Sorry I don't have much more optimism for you on this side of the equation. My feet and calves are always going to be big. I need a wide in both the foot and the calf. And I lost all my excess weight in my feet - I went down 2 sizes. But the calves stayed big, just like the width of my food. Very wierd indeed.

They're here! My surro-sons were born July 21, 2009. Welcome to the world, Benjamin and Daniel. We love you very much!
Me too!! It's been that way from the beginning with the DS. I actually have slender shoulders and arms, my midriff isn't unacceptable, but my belly.... whooo HUGE. Lots of nasty visceral fat. But that has to go away, too.
I never thought I had a lot of fat in my calves because I have lymphedema and I have to wear the super tight, super strong compression stockings. But I must have had some, because now when I put my knee up to put lotion on my legs, I see that my calves are wrinkly! LOL
I hope you don't worry about this too much. It's all so temporary, isn't it? We'll be this shape for a while and then we'll get to our goal and the rest of this oddly placed fat will have gone the way of the stuff that was up higher!
