Please Swing or Pray
My older brother John just turned 50 in January. He took ill at work yesterday and was rushed to the hospital. He is a type 1 diabetic since his early 20's and very brittle. They originally thought he had a stroke, but found a brain tumor on the "outside" of his brain. Sounds like a meningioma. They are running a body scan to determine if this is the primary site or metastasis from another cancer. He was a pretty self-destructive teen with heavy drugs and alcohol use into his 20's, sobered up when diagnosed with diabetes, but health has never been great. The size of the tumor is only pea-sized which is good, but he is on seizure medication and having problems swallowing. I'll keep you updated.
