Surgeon and "Normal" BMI - Very unscientific poll

Surgeon: Dr. Rabkin
Normal BMI: Nope, not yet

But I don't know that a normal BMI is something I would ever want to get to; I just can't see losing another 25-40 pounds would make me feel or look better. I can see 10-15 maybe, but that wouldn't get me to a normal BMI either.

Ok, I'm not *technically* at a normal BMI yet, but I am within spitting distance! I'm 8 months out and about 5 pounds from a normal BMI so I'm guessing I will be there at some point in the coming weeks.

I am going to add that before my sugery, Dr. M started out with a 'cookie cutter' approach and gave everyone a 100cm Common Channel.  A lot of his patients did not get to goal.  He then started doing the surgery using the "Hess method" and now only a few do not lose the weight that they want to lose.  I am not sure how he did the Alimentary Limb in his early surgeries, but I believe that was also a factor.

Very interesting....I know that my surgeon does a pretty standard 100 cc common channel, and I don't know of a single patient of his that hasn't come pretty close.  Interesting ,huh?
