How much do you eat ~ Am I a freak?
Everyone seems to have a little different experience Zuzu, but a desert now and then isn't going to hurt you and for most of us, potatoes are not a problem. The only thing that really causes me any trouble is thick crust pizza; for some reason, it turns me into a gas factory. You should be careful though about eating deserts all the time as some people get gassy from sugar and if you eat too much of it, I'm sure it's going to slow, stop or reverse your weight loss. But there's no dumping from eating sweets, it's just a matter of maybe making some gas in a few hours and in it slowing your weight loss.
I'm loving my DS life, I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have this freedom from the fat suit and not have to worry about every bite of food I eat.

I am not even 4 months out but I could eat the eggs, sausage and cheese without the bread.
I have been on this protein bread kick lately (10g carbs 14g whey protein per slice) and the other day I ate 2 large eggs, 1 slice of cheese and 4 strips of bacon on one slice of bread. It took me a while to eat since the protein bread is very dense but I managed to get it all down.
With my sleeve and 2+ years I am pretty certain I'll be able to eat what you can without a problem.

I know that Dr. Roslin used a 38 fr bougie but I don't know the exact size. I have never ever felt that it was all that small. I know he leans towards smaller sleeves but I must have a super long stomach or something because I seem to be able to eat a lot more than people who are further out than me and I don't feel like I am stretching my sleeve. It isnt as though I eat to the point where I am stuffed and can't move. I eat till I feel satisfied and then I am done. If I happen to eat more one day and less another it just works that way but I don't try and stuff myself. Either that or the food just goes right in and right out really quickly.
I can eat a double whopper with cheese no bun and 4 or 5 fries in 30-45 min. I seem to be able to eat more food but I also eat less frequently, I am often not hungry and have to force myself to have a shake just to get some extra protein in.

Thanks Princess!

I'm not familiar with the bread Princess uses, but I love the Julian bread - 13 grams carbs, 12 grams fiber (so only 1 net carb) and 12 grams of protein per slice. I eat a slice with breakfast most days, and keep several loaves in the freezer, removing only a couple of slices at a time. I get more protein in with it than I can with solid protein alone.

My sleeve started out at only 50mL (just over 1.5oz), so I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat that much at one sitting! But I can eat a whole 7oz cup of Greek yogurt at one time, so it's obviously stretched some. And I've eaten a whole 6oz steak filet at a sitting before. But no way I'd be able to eat the appetizer, roll, salad, meat & potato, plus dessert...unless I was there for a couple hours!
