Met a DSer for the first time today!!

It seems very very strange to say that, 6 months after my surgery, I finally met a fellow dser. I've never met one before!  Very strange. I was feeling all alone in North Fla. :)

I went to the Central Fla DS support group today in Orlando. Everyone was very very nice and took the time to speak with me. I definitely liked the group better than a bariatric support group. Definitely plan on going back!

The funniest part was one of the DSers was born and raised in the same poe dunk tiny town I live in 3 hours away. What a small, small world.

I'm so glad you were able to 'finally' meet a fellow DSer!!

Isn't it fun to meet someone who is walking in your same shoes - so to speak??

Sure is great to have a group you enjoy - and happy to hear you've found one!!!

Aww now I'm jealous D: I have yet to meet a fellow DSer

Live out loud!  How many people's lives have you touched recently?  Pay it forward

Isn't it great? Like a reunion of refugees from some obscure country, or a different planet.

It was wonderful to meet you today. I am just sorry we had to leave so early and missed having a good chat.  The next meeting will be in Dec. I hope you will be there so we will get a chance to gab.

Isn't that a great group!!??  I loved going to those meetings, seeing everyone and talking up a storm.  Some of the nicest people I've met.  Sonja and Nat AMAZE me every time I see them.

I lived in Jacksonville for five years before coming to Texas.  Where are you located?  I love Florida, I get back here every chance I get!

Glad you had a great time.

Yes- I have to agree they are an amazing couple.  And the group has been an invaluable source of support and information.
