Obama Care

Of course the PROFIT SEEKING companies that hold our health in their hands are looking for the many loopholes left to them by the politicians whom they own.  What was needed was a PUBLIC OPTION so that people could say screw you to private insurance companies that just keep raising our premiums and cutting our covered services and opt to sign onto a government program like, as bookfaerie said, all OTHER industrialized countries have in place.

Then folks like YOU that just LOVE having PRIVATE bureacreacies screw them over can stay with what they have, and people that want better would have a better option.

I received my $250.00 "Obamacare" check in the mail today because I hit the Medicare donut hole. My thank you note to President Obama is in the mail. I don't recall getting any assistance with my prescriptions from the previous administration.

You should really do more research before you try to float lies here on this forum. You'll find a lot of VERY educated people here who can't be bullied or bullshat on.

Hey Becky!  I think the 250.00 donut hole check from Obama is admirable.  But the previous administration did give medicare recipients more assistance than you know. (Do not misconstrue this as an approval of Bush)  Sure it's a clusterfuck, but isn't everything run by the government? lol

To the OP, I do believe that most people are "in a hurry" to get to the Dark Side, and some are fighting insurance changes.  Changes do not necessarily mean premium increases:  they may mean changing carriers and/or changing benefit packages.  Then there's the dreaded annual deductible...always a yowza!

Health care reform has not and will not cause an increase in insurance premiums...although the insurance companies will say differently.

I also appreciate your response! :D I know health insurance providers are sometimes evil :( I was simply unsure of whether our national health insurance was going to truly affect me or not! :D
