pear shapes with gigantic legs, tell me about your legs after
Joanne- My dd Charissa was impressed with your after thigh pic....she says "her legs are smaller than mine!". Oh, and the excess skin did not seem to bother her at all. (I should note, that Charissa has very muscular thighs from running & sprinting from various sports, she's even jealous of my 'new' thighs.)
As romantic and lovely as Kirmy makes it sound, Im in the same boat. No ass, just flapping skin. My thighs are a lot smaller, but again, pooling skin. My calves, unfortunately, are still big and like many others, I did not lose shoe size at all. I'm also as pale as Joanne. Man, I love the DS folks...kindred spirits!

Loving my DS!!
Loving my DS!!
200 pounds loss (I was 391 and dropped to 189) and my thighs look like deflated bubble wrap, except when I'm on my back. But if you're looking from the side... Girl, I could choke a barrel of chickens with the excess skin. Honestly, only plastic surgery could repair the crazy sag and I consider myself lucky with the way my body held up after 200 pounds off. I would like to get an extra 40 off, but that's because I have issues. Anywhoo, the weight will come off the thighs, but I find the thighs are the last to really get normal in size out of all the other parts of your body. I always had small calves. I don't have the bubble wrap thing there, but still the thighs are just scary, especially when they slap together when I sit down quickly. Ugh.

My thighs are still huge in comparison to calves of legs. Crepe paper inner thighs down to knees and bulges on the back and sides of my thighs. I still have an ass though it's much flatter and longer now it fell into my thighs. Which makes my thighs look even worse. I was scheduled for a lbl but had to postpone.. The ps suggested doing my thighs in 4 seperate procedures. I'm now hesitant to reschedule the lbl in fear of having an even harder time trying to find pants to fit afterwards. Jeans have to be relaxed fit stretch denim and I wear a belt to hold them up.

The women in my family have always been know for their beautiful legs. When I was 317, I still had them; the ONLY thing was, they were lost under the excess poundage of ...uh um...fat. Now that I have lost 150 lbs, I FOUND THEM AGAIN~woo hoo~the only difference is I have flabby thighs, but still I have very nice, shapely legs from the knees down~PLUS~I CAN SHAVE 'em comfortably NOW!
I guess you just have to check out what the women in your own family have for leg shape AND what your legs looked like before. That way, you will have a more clear picture of what the future holds for you.

I am thick from my hips to my ankles...and still am. I have size 14 jeans that are loose at my waist but RIDE UP on one of my damn calves and I have to keep bending over to pull my jeans back down. I will never have good looking legs, no matter how much plastic surgery I can afford.

I am pre- op, majority of my weight is in my ass and legs. I am worried on what these areas are going to look like. I told my husband last night.....I better start planning for thigh lift procedure after my DS. I know its going to be a mess. I plan on doing weights after surgery to try to take up some space, but we will see. My big bubble butt.....I wonder what the damage is going to be there too!! LOL! Oh well. What can ya do? If its not one thing, its another!!
Haha! This sounds just like me. I once saw a picture of myself in a purple bridesmaid dress and realized that I look like grimace from McDonaldland (you know, the guy who looks like an eggplant). I have surgery this Thursday. I will let u know in 2 years what my legs look like LOL.
I do rememember that when I was a teenager at 190lbs I had huge thighs/ass and wore size 14 misses pants which were ridiculously baggy at the waist and size medium tops. I am not sure if I will lose down to this same body type.
What has everyone's experience been on this? When you reached a weight you were at previously, did you have the same body type as before?
I am quite certain I will need plastic surgery so I am starting that fund now and have identified the dr I will use.
