OT - Our new addition to our family - Macy
My brother used to raise Great Pyrenees, and I was adopted by one last year. He's obviously been mistreated---I think he'd been tied for a LONG time, and had suffered some damage to his vocal cords. He could bark, but he couldn't howl---he'd throw that big head back, but all that would come out was a nearly-silent "wooooo" noise.
When he came, he was skin and bones, and could barely walk. I doubt he weighed 70 pounds. I fed him, groomed him, and doctored on him and got him up to about 110, then one day he just died in his sleep. Broke my heart, but at least the last six months of his life were good.
They're just good, patient, kind dogs. You're going to really enjoy that little girl.

Thank you. She is a spoiled gal already. I have two other adopted dogs as well. My oldest is 10 yrs old. Macy loves him. Goes up to him and gives him kisses. And we have a little mixed breed jack russell/beagle gal. Macy and Diamond get along great too. Although Macy is much larger than her. Cute to watch though.
