Question for DSers................

Very full. Uncomfortably full. It, for me, is nothing like the pain that lap-banders describe, if that's what you are asking. Early out I think it might have been. I had some stew meat and then put some broth on top of it. Ow. But it hasn't been that way since 1-2 months out.

When I was a baby post-op - one bite too many = feeling like barfing (flushed, watery mouth, smells make you nauseous).  Now if I eat too much or too fast I feel like I have food almost up to my throat and sometimes it feels like there is a brick on my chest = not pain but NOT pleasant.  I don't like the "after Thanksgiving dinner stuffed" feeling, at all.  So I make sure that I don't eat that much to feel like that.

I am now, at 20 months out, a slow eater.  And I still continually gage how I am feeling while I am eating.  I stop eating when I feel satisfied and NOT full.  I often leave food on my plate or take leftovers home, and I am totally fine with that.  Pre-op I never felt truly full or satisfied, now I do.  We have a saying for me in my house (coined by my fiancee) if you aren't sure if you are done eating or not, you're done, stop!  And every time I take that LAST bite when I'm not sure - I have regretted it b/c I go from full to overfull.
