Thank you all so much!

My new boss & one of the other 3 office staff invited me out for lunch today. I'm here apt hunting. I thought that was really nice (& she paid for it too!). She also invited me to her family's "game night"/ also a niece's (adult) birthday. I thought that was extremely gracious, going WELL above any obligations that a new boss might have with a new employee. Everyone is so nice to me!

I already found a new apt & will be moving on the 15th!

If you're moving to the SW MO area, that region of the Midwest is sorta the "DS desert" of the U.S., unfortunately .. Very few DSers in that area (and still no vetted DS surgeons in those 3 states, IIRC) ..

Heck, Springfield (Drury grad here, btw) only got their first RNY surgeon just 2-3 years ago, according to my friends back there ..

But, who knows .. maybe you will be the first DSer to get the ball rolling for a support group in your area .. Good luck!

I am in Topeka, Kansas, and the number of people getting a DS in Topeka has increased since I first joined this forum.
Haha, I'm glad the MO in your title refers to Missouri and not morbid obesity.
